Family Tree & Landscape

This is a small, family-owned/operated start-up company with a personal recommendation. Mother (Elizabeth) and son (James) came to house to give estimate. Estimate was verbal, not written - mistake #1. Verbal agreement included complete removal of river rock, tree trimming, new mulch around front trees, large Mexican fan palm in backyard, and pruning/cleaning up of everything in front yard - none of these were done. They worked until after dark on Friday evening and said they would return the next week to finish the work, remove the rock, and take care of anything else they forgot. I went ahead and paid them, in full on Friday - mistake #2. I called them several times, and was given later dates for completion until finally, on April 26th, one month after the job was ?incompleted,? I said they needed to come back by the end of the week or I would have to do it myself. They never called, came by, or apologized. They were a day and a half late starting the job. They worked hard while they were here, but weren't here nearly long enough to do everything they said they would do. I now have several hundred pounds of river rock I need to dispose of somehow.
