Manicures/Nails
The appt. was supposed to be for fill and polish, but upon removal of polish, it was easy to see many nails had a fungal infection from poor hygiene when tips applied previously at THIS salon. I asked manicurist what should be done (having never dealt with fungal infection before) and was told the discoloration would grow out but I should start with fresh tips. So I was required to spend more money to "treat" the infection. Went back in two weeks for fill and color, infection still there, and THIS manicurist told me tips should be removed and nails left natural and treated with fungal ointment. Makes more sense. After several weeks of treatment, the fungus appears to be gone, but I had to put up with horrible looking nails over the holidays. The nail salon showed no concern. Just seemed to want me out of shop as quickly as possible. Removal of tips was uncomfortable, I bled slightly. Manicurist pulled clippers from drawer to trim nail and appeared to drop clippers back in drawer after exposure to my blood.
