"Home owner called me back to provide additional services in Spring of 2018."
"We provided some work for this residence about 10+ months ago ( in 2014) as part of our "Big Deal" promotion last fall. We provided 4 man hours of clean up (2 men for 2 hours) . We have not done work there since. I have not spoken to client, but suspect she found one of my cards from previous work and has associated it with who ever did some work recently. Both Angie's List representatives and myself have tried to contact home owner for more information but no replies to emails and phone calls. I never worked for this client in 2015 as reported."
"The work we did for Mrs. [member name removed] as as part of our "Big Deal" promotion through Angie's List. We actually did the work last winter, in December or January, as I recall. She had just moved back into the house and wanted to start getting things back into order. We planted some Spring blooming bulbs, Daffodils maybe, for her. We also trimmed her trees and left the debris bundled for trash pick up. That was the last work that we did for this client."
"Not sure why this is here. It is from over a year ago. Mrs. [Member name removed] purchased a "Big Deal" package in fall of 2013. After discussing things concerning the distance and timing, we agreed to reimburse her payment. She was very understanding, as I recall."
The provider came out and met with me at the property to discuss work that needed to be done on the yard. The gentleman seemed nice enough. He also seemed knowledgeable.
He told me that he would give me an estimate within 1-2 business days but for whatever reason, he I haven't heard back from the provider for two weeks now.
"[Member Name Removed] explained when I met him that it was a rent house that he had just moved into and he didn't want to spend much. He was asking for suggestions to clean things up and "what would I do"? He mentioned that he had spoken to several other contractors soliciting their ideas and proposals too. Even while I was there trying to talk to him, another contractor that he had double booked on scheduling, showed up. I did not feel he was wanting to do the work and just looking for ideas. I gave him a few suggestions and left, feeling I had just wasted an hour of time on a busy day. Never heard from him again. In the landscape service industry, as in any design profession, we have people that just want to pick our brains and get free design advice. I don't charge for my consultations but perhaps I should."
"Early this spring, [member name removed] contacted us about complete yard care. He has a house locally in member information removed] that backs up to a drainage area. Minimal grass, a lot of shrubs in the front yard and backyard that is heavily shaded and no lawn. Loads of beds that needed to be weeded and trimmed. Little mulch, at the time. It was during the spring rush and because timing was short, I told [member name removed] that I would get him a written proposal within a couple of days. He stated it needed to be done right away. Since he was local, I sent the crew by to do a complimentary mow. We did the work and while I was preparing the written proposal, his wife accepted another bid from somebody else. He contacted me informing me of the events. I moved on to fill other requests. He contacted me again about a week later saying that the other contractor had already been dismissed. He accepted our proposal and when could we get back out there. We put him on our schedule for the next week. I escorted the crew myself when we showed up at our appointed time. I wanted to meet him and find out the particulars on what he was looking for. [member name removed] would not come to the door when I knocked and rang. I showed up to do the work twice. He was there because we saw him out on the deck smoking and attempted to talk with him to see what he wanted. Since he had fired the two previous contractors that spring, I wanted to find out why nobody could please him. I feel I now know the reason why last season's contractor wouldn't show up again, as he had mentioned on the phone. I had the crew do a light shrub trimming, weed pull, and standard mow. We did the same procedure the following week. We actually have mowed 3 times for the client and when it was felt that he couldn't be pleased, we parted and he was never charged. I had never heard from this client until this complaint. I have yet to meet [member name removed]."

"It was explained to Mr.(removed member name) that we scheduled the jobs from the Big Deal offer after all the sales come in. We had scheduled him for 15th along with two other Big Deal clients. All 3 were called and informed that we had key personnel that were out sick and we were behind schedule. The other two clients understood the problem and were amicable. We have been working 6 days a week to please our year round clients and the additional Big Deal clients and I guess we dropped the ball with Mr. (removed member name) case. Please let me know if there is anything assist Mr. (removed member name) is getting his refund."
We purchased a 'Big Deal' for $129 (4 hrs of landscaping/yard clean up). We had communication with Mr. Shirley soon after the purchase and we scheduled for him to come out once he organized his schedule because there he received a large number of this deal purchased. He called and scheduled me within a month of purchase.
We have two pretty large flower beds that were overrun with weeds and grass and my husband and I were unable to tend to. We thought we needed at least the 4 hours of work. Mr. Shirley called me the morning of 12/4 and reminded me of our appointment today and showed up at our house around noon. They were done within 2 hours and cleaned up the flower beds and the base of two trees nicely. He offered us some great advice and educated us on planting for the Spring.
I really appreciated his open communication and sad to find out that he doesn't work out side of Lewisville Lake on a regular basis. I will have to contact him in the Spring for a bigger project.

"We were never notified by A.L. that (Member name removed) had purchased the deal. When we received our first correspondence, it was her complaining and mentioning a refund. (Member name removed) was informed that day, that her work was scheduled for the 17th or 18th of December along with the 6 others in her area. She has decided not respond. We urge her to check the correspondence time line. To this date, we have received no other communications from this client. I suggest she get with A.L. for her refund."
"Mr. [removed member name] and I have since spoken and it was decided that there was some misunderstanding about the terms of the agreement in regard to scheduling. We have his work scheduled for this week and I will ask for a clarification after the work is completed."
"Actually, we tried to reach customer several times but his number was disconnected. We tried to email customer through AL mailbox several times but with no response. We also went by the house while in the area, but nobody would answer the door. There were several cars in drive but no answer. The house was 45 minute drive from our office, so it is not like we are in the neighborhood regularly. Customer finally contacted us 7 months later in the middle of our busy season wanting work. Angie's tells us our offer is valid for 6 months, which we tried to honor, but without communication from home owner what can we do? If needed, we did take pictures of residence in December when we were attempting to do the work while in the neighborhood."
