Had to stay on them every step of the way. Did not follow drawings, had to repaint twice due to running and laziness. Left holes behind cabinets..just lazy work. Referred to us by insurance co. The man who did tiling wad very good though.

Overall we could not be happier.  I would hire ARC/Robert Allen in a minute and am very hopeful that I will be able to do so one day soon!

The whole experience was awful. The project took twice as long as he said it would take and ended up being over $2K more than the estimate. He didn't keep up to speed on what the subcontractors were doing. I don't know why I paid a 30% markup on their work to the general contractor, since I was talking directly to the subcontractors to make sure they did the work the way I wanted it done. I thought the estimate was pretty firm, since he told me that the 30% was also to help pay for unforeseen costs. As the project was wrapping up and they were just working on the finishing touches, he sent me an updated estimate since we picked a more expensive granite, and none of the other charges had changed. However, once the project was done, it was $1K more than the estimate. At one point I found out that he was leaving the house key in the mailbox for the different subcontractors so they could let themselves in to the house. I asked him not to do that and he got upset at me.
