The Good: The process of quoting and installation went flawlessly with one huge exception we'll get to below. Edgar and his team showed up were quite communicative, responsive and prompt throughout the process. When there was an issue with my existing Nest Thermostat, they went out of their way to contact both Nest and American Standard to get the problem resolved. The Bad: They absolutely refused to honor the Angies List coupon for 5% for all Angies List customers. Initially the excuse was "we already did that". When we pointed out they couldn't have, we hadn't mentioned it yet, the excuse changed to "well, that's for service calls only." When we pointed out that's not what the coupon said, they changed the coupon. Originally it read "5% off for Angie's list members only." The revised copy reads "5% off service call for Angie's List members"

I installed a hot water heater in the furnace closet and when I was done the furnace would not turn on. I called Ram Air who had installed my furnace and A/C this spring. The owner of Ram Air (Edgar) called me right back and said he would come down and check it out. I told him what I had done and that I felt it was something I had done to cause the furnace to not turn on. I explained I had power to the furnace. This all happened at 8 pm on a Sunday evening. Edgar checked the furnace out and apparently I had shorted out an overflow switch and that caused a fuse to blow. Edgar replaced the fuse and fixed the wiring. Edgar told me he came right down to my home because he was concerned it was going to get cold that evening with a front coming in and he was glad he could make the repair. I told Edgar how much I appreciated his help and asked him for the bill. Edgar told me it was no charge. It is rare you find a service with the integrity that Edgar owner of Ram Air has and I would recommend his company to anyone without any reservation. The equipment that was installed has worked with great results. As far as I am cocerned you can't go wrong using Ram a/c.

I called Edgar the owner on Tuesday and came by my home on Wedsnday to give me an estimate on a new a/c and heating system. Edgar checked my old system and gave me some suggestions on a new a/c and heating systems. I explained I was going to have an additional room added to my home and I would need more capacity from a new system. Edgar took the time to figure out how much more capacity I would need. Edgar did everything he could to explain what I needed with a great attitude and a cheerful demeanor. Edgar said he would send me a quote by the next morning, which he did. I called Edgar up on Thursday and told him I received the quote and I was very happy with the price. I asked when I could have the new system installed and to my surprise Edgar told me he could do it the next day on Friday. Edgar told me he would be at my home at 9 am and he was true to his word. The a/c and heating system was in by 2pm that afternoon. Edgar’s crews laid out drop cloths and clean up my home after they were done and hauled. The crew worked very hard and answered my entire question as they were making the installation. Edgar came back to my home on Saturday, installed the propane jet for the heating unit, and adjusted the fan speed. As Edgar left my home, he told me not to hesitate calling him back if I had any problems. Edgar cares about his customers and the quality of work he does. I would highly recommend Ram Air.

My upstairs AC had stopped working. I was already unhappy with my old AC service company so I was looking for a change. I knew Edgar from work he did years ago with that other company before he started his own company. I remembered his work from those service calls and had been impressed with his knowledge and courtesy. I called Edgar at Ram Air this morning and he was here is 90 minutes, after he finished an earlier service call. He promptly found my unit's problem as a bad contact switch on the compressor cooling fan. He replaced the contact switch and the unit now works great. He did some more diagnostic work to ensure that there were not any other problems, especially with the Puron pressure level and other electrical components. Edgar was prompt, quick, and reasonably priced. His basic service call rate was less than what I was paying with the other company I formerly used. I recommend Ram Air and Edgar to anyone, especially those living in South Austin or the Bastrop area.

He is excellent. I thought I was going to need a new AC but it was taken care of with a $40 part. They are punctual, fair and honest with his prices and his estimates. It's good, quality service. I called him at 7:30 and he was in a meeting but he called me back by 8:15. When we spoke he was able to come out right away but I wasn't home yet.
