Low Cost Home Repair

Tom was awesome. I called and he had a break in his day - He came right over and took my gate off and repaired it and replaced it - like new. Thanks Tom for taking care of me so quickly! Will definitely hire again!

Tom was punctual, knowledgeable about his business, and is pleasant. He was courteous and completed every job on my list, efficiently and in a timely manner. I have referred him to a friend, who was also pleased with the job he did. We will hire him again, absolutely!

Tommy arrived right on time. He did exactly what we wanted and very professionally. He made sure everything was perfect before he left. Would hire him again for any job.

He came over and he gave me an estimate of what I needed and he gave me a time line that it would take two weeks and it took over four weeks and me telling him this house is killing me you have got to cause I have COPD and I told him, you told me two weeks, Well I have things thing to do for my mommy and I couldn't come over and do it and it was one excuse after another and so my granddaughter came over to lay my hard wood floor and I said he was suppose to, that was on a Saturday and he was suppose to be there at my house on Friday to finish the painting and do everything so that she could lay the hard wood floors well he showed up right before I got ready to go to church that night about 6 o'clock. He said well that was the other thing when he came over to give me the estimate and he said I never took on a job until I have finish the one I have started well he took on another job because he was over there doing this other job for this other woman, so I was getting ready to come home from church it was about 9:30 and I get a text message from him ah I am hungry and I going to go home and eat and I will see you tomorrow do you want me to leave your windows open so I am gone ahead and leave the windows open so I don't smell this stuff so I didn't text him back because I was pulling in the drive way about that time and he was putting his stuff up and he said I will back in the morning about 10:30 and I said you need to get this done I am getting really sick and I said I need you to get this done well my grand daughter didn't show up until 2:30 to give him time to get the painting done and he still no show so I called him, mine you that was two weeks, and I am trying to live in this house and he got mad at me, he said my mommy needed me to do somethings and he said I will come over there and get it done right then and there, well I am sitting in my bedroom because I got to stay out of this smell of the house and my grand daughter she got her youngest little girl with her and I mean the minute he waked in this house, he started running me down to my grand daughter, your grand mother hurt my feelings today when she called and yelled at me and I heard my grand daughter turn around and looked at him and said well you were suppose to have this done two weeks ago, well I had other things I had to do and she said well you now your not, and I just walked in a said just get the painting done. Let me tell you something the job that he did was crappy there was places on the wall that don't have paint on it.

The whole expense of the job was $12470. Things were okay at first. He did a good job on the outside of the house but it took he two weeks to paint the outside of the house and I have a brick house. He point out that a part of the trim was rotted and asked if I wanted him to replace it I said yes. When the inspector came to inspect the house for the sale that piece of trim was still rotted. He replaced a door and his workmanship which was fine. He did an excellent job of repairing the ceiling in the kitchen and living room. The problems began when he moved into the bedrooms to work on the tile. He was shocked when he found out the tile wasn't glued down even though I had told him at least three times that the tiles were not glued down. I even lifted up several pieces of tile for him to see. The hallway had tile in it also. I told him to be aware that the pattern from the hall went into the bedrooms and he should do the hallway first. He did not. He the master bedroom first and when it got to the door it didn't match the hallway. It looks awful. He took upon himself to clean the tile in order to salvage what tile he could. That would have been good except he cleaned the tile in the bathroom and ran lots of grout down my drain. The grout set-up in the drain line. I had to replace the entire line. It ended up costing me $5000 to replace the line. He should of just told me he couldn't use the tile I already had before he started glueing it down. I could have bought more tile or pulled it all up and carpeted it. And he did not fix the tiles in the hallway. I got someone else to do that and the difference was night and day.

We were already in sort of a time crunch (graduation party) when we realized fixing the fence was too much to do ourselves.  Tom arrived quickly and totally understood our situation.  Tom suggested how we could save money by reusing some of the original fence.  The job took several days; Tom worked by himself and there were no idle moments.  A former Marine, his discipline and work ethic impressed our neighbors.  The fence looks great, the price was great and we now feel like we have found the handyman we have been needing for a long time.  Very satisfied with Tom's work, honesty and price.

Thomas was fantastic. In spite of all the lousy weather we had, he still managed to get this installed. He also didn't care it was a holiday. I will use him again for sure!! The gate is so much better than we have ever had,.

All of the jobs went very well. Tom showed up on time and was willing to work around my schedule if I had a doctor appointment or otherwise wouldn't be home part or all of a day. I provided all of the paint and Tom had his tools, ladders, tape, drop cloths, etc. He is very careful and respectful to be clear about what is to be done and how I wanted the job done or which job next since I had several. He noticed a few areas that needed work around some of the windows that I hadn't seen which was good since I am fixing up my home to sell it in the spring.

Tom is a fast worker which is his nature. However, he is not satisfied if the job does not look good. He used a foam roller on the laundry room cabinets and put 3 coats of enamel paint on them since it was a different color. They turned out very well indeed. Tom is very easy to work with and will place additional protection around the floor or adjacent to where he is doing texturing if you think there may be drips or overspray.

Tom is a veteran, a safe, an honest, and a very conscientious handyman. I would definitely hire him again.

This is the third time we hired this company for household work. In 2011 they repaired siding and painted the exterior of our house;  in 2013 they caulked, repaired siding and painted the interior and trim on the exterior.

Today 9/27/14,  he installed a kitchen light fixture.

They are very professional, their prices are completely fair and they will go out of their way to help get the job done. When I hired this company last year, I was ill and the owner thoughtfully drove me to the hardware store to pick out the paint colors.

I would hire them again in a minute. I can count on them to do what's needed and do an excellent job.

In todays day and age it is very hard to find any home repair companies who are direct with their

customers. This company it trustworthy and honest.

I would recommend them to anyone who asks.

I called and let him know the carpets needed steam cleaning.  He said what time, he showed up promptly. He did a great job, fantastic service, on time, he pointed out things that needed to be done.  An example moving furniture to make sure all carpet was cleaned. Work superb, he is my go to guy.  He comes to the house promptly when called.  He lives in my community so I can always call him. He has done several jobs for me in the past.  He is very detailed oriented and has 30 years experience.

The service was excellent!  He came out when he said he would come and did a wonderful job each time he was here! I would highly recommend this company and will use him again in the future!  Very pleased!!!
