handyman service, house painters, interior painters
 + 1 moreThe work was not done well. The coloring of the living room was a different color than every other room. He was supposed to paint the exterior of the house (where we have wood) and he never did this. He was supposed to lay the wood for our flooring and didn't do that. He was initially supposed to do the roof as well but kept putting it off and kept the money. Suddenly, he just disappeared. I couldn't get ahold of him. A couple days later, after one of our mutual acquaintances followed up, he called me and said he had been in the hospital and that his appendix had ruptured. I verified that this was not true with the hospital. I asked him to give me my money back. He said he would get back to us the next day and I never heard anything. That was about 4 weeks ago.
Description of Work: He was recommended by a friend. He put tile in my laundry room, painted the front and back bedroom in the kitchen. He partially painted the living room. We gave him $4380 by check. He cashed the check soon after I gave it. This should have been held back for the roof. He said he needed to hold down the price. We purchased all the materials and goods required for the job and also gave him $1500 in advance. He was supposed to do tiling, internal painting, external painting, wooden flooring, and roofing. He only did the tiling and the internal painting and did not do these well. We had to get friends of ours to come and do the work for us.
