Although the price was a bit high, they were very courteous and prompt for work. Overall we were satisfied with the service.

Mark came out on time and gave me a price on how much it would cost to refinish my floors in the house I had just purchased. He was on time and professional, it was clear he knew what he was talking about and not just a salesman. He was able to get a crew on the job the next week. Since I had not yet moved in, I used a lock box for the key and there were no problems.
Mark was great helping me pick out a stain that would work with the wood since a previous repair in one or two areas used red oak when the majority of the wood was white oak. He had me come over after that they done the initial sanding so that we could test a couple of stains. He also discussed the pros/cons of using a water-based vs an oil-based finish. They finished on schedule without problems and did a final walk through with me once the floors were dry enough to walk on. The price was as quote. I would use them again.

This was the second time I had Willeford install hardwood for me over the last 10 years, both times expansions in to new areas of the house. Both time were to blend original 1940's floor into new areas and make it look original. Both times they have done an excellent job.

After meeting with several floor companies, Mark came in and I immediately had a good feeling. He obviously knew what he was talking about and I felt like I would be in good hands. After discussing all of the bids with my contractor, we decided on Willeford. His crew were punctual, professional, very clean and did a beautiful job. Everything went smoothly and the floors are gorgeous. I will be using them again on my own home and would highly recommend them.

I had several quotes. Willeford came right inline with my assumptions of an appropriate cost (Another company came in double their cost for the same job). I had hardwood floors restored once before so I had a base point. I liked their professionalism and we set up a date. I met directly with the job overseers onsite several times during the process. They worked with me and we even found that there was some staining, from the previous owners pet, under the old carpet that had seeped into the hardwood. We discussed options and worked the problem out. Solutions were reached effortlessly and with reasonable accommodations to the original price. In the end I received a great looking floor.

He was even able to match the top glaze. I would highly recommend him. He was very professional. He even came out himself to check the work. The builder who used him was not the easiest to deal with and he really stepped up to do a good job. His work was really appreciated.

They did a good job matching the color of the old floor with the new install; they did a very good job of matching the new wood with the old. Mark communicated well, was easy to work and provided great customer service.

The crew came at 8:00 am and worked until 8:30 pm the first day. They removed the old carpet, and flooring and installed the "new" reclaimed hardwood in the first day. They covered all of the walls and windows with plastic to protect from dust before they started. They sanded the floors at the end of the first day. Day 2 they stained the floor and applied the urethane coating. Day 3 they lightly sanded, added the molding and applied another coat. Day 4 they took down all of the plastic covering the walls and applied the last coat. They left me with a beautiful floor and nothing to clean up. I am very happy and will use them again when I need the other half of the house refinished.

Mark came to my house to discuss the project and provide a price estimate. He called to tell me he was running late, seemed very knowledgeable about hardwood flooring, was able to answer all of my questions. His guys showed up on time to start the project. It was a little awkward since they didn't speak English and Mark was not there. Mark did come to the work site a couple of times during the week long project and was responsive to my calls. The work is beautiful and a number of visitors have asked for Mark's contact information. Something to note, I had a number of spots on the hardwood due to the former owner's cat urinating on the carpet. Mark's guys were skillful enough to replace individual boards in a floor which I understand is very difficult. I cannot tell which boards were removed and which are original. Overall, the floors look beautiful.

Mark was very knowledgeable, responsive and helpful from the start of each of the projects. The first project was completed on schedule and the closet floor looks fantastic. The second job was a little tricky because the gaps in the hardwood floors were not aligned and there was a slope to deal with. Mark considered a few options before his final recommendation. The hardwood floors were patched and once we'd finished the rest of the kitchen work (painting, etc) Mark's team came back and sanded and refinished the floors. Again the job was completed on schedule and the final results were great. Mark, Tammy and his team were all very responsive, friendly and do a wonderful job.

They did an AMAZING job!! The floors are beautiful and they were in BAD shape to begin with. You would think they were brand new. A mistake was made where a storm window was left open not on purpose but the guys were right back out to take care of it. Mark is a great guy and his workers are very professional. The were on time and finished right on schedule as well!

I am very impressed with this company's work. They were very efficient and clean with their work. I especially liked their workmanship. I can remember on one occasion where they messed up and they stayed up all night until they fixed it. I felt like they really went out of their way to do things exactly the way they are supposed to be done.

Overall, the work is spectacular. You cannot tell a difference between the old wood and the new wood. However, there were communication difficulties throughout. They left the entry off the estimate, despite going over it with me several times, and we had to pay an additional 500.00 mid project to get it done. They seem to be trying to handle too many jobs at once and often forget what dates they are due, and what they agreed upon. I would use them again, because the floors look fantastic, but I would get EVERYTHING in DETAILED writing, down to square footages, and specifics on days and times the jobs require. Also, they didn't do a great job of taping off for the dust, so expect dust to be everywhere. Remove everything from cupboards and closets, even if they say otherwise. Definitely use them, but be very detailed in your hiring estimate and scheduling.

Extremely professional and courteous from start to finish. Provided a free estimate, which was a couple of hundred dollars higher than others, but Mark's demeanor and honesty convinced me to go with them. They were able to start on my floors within a couple of days of my accepting their quote. They were prompt, cleaned up after themselves every night and finished the job on time and for the exact quoted amount. There were a few areas of stains and deep gouges, and Mark and his crew were able to sand them out (they didn't want to charge me for board replacement if they didn't have to, plus, Mark said replacement just "wouldn't be the same" as the original floors) and the floors are absolutely beautiful!

I contacted Willeford for an estimate. Mark came out within days, gave me a written estimate within 24 hours of coming out, and committed to do the job in a week. He actually was able to start a day early and finished days before I contemplated he would be done. He was meticulous. The job cost exactly what he bid, and I couldn't be more pleased.

I hired this company based on the recommendations in Angie's List and all of you who recommended it should be embarrassed. The initial estimate changed AFTER work had begun, there was a problem with the stain because the sample we were presented was on a different kind of wood, the crew was sullen and uncooperative, they made a huge mess in my house--set off the smoke alarm, brought in smelly food and ate it in the bedrooms, and put dirty hand prints all over my doors and walls--and, although the final product is VERY nice, I had to constantly hound them to fix the splinters they were leaving in the floors on every segment of the job. When it was time to do the stairs, the stain didn't match at all and crew leader argued with me about whether I would believe them of ''my lying eyes.'' It finally took the company owner and a new crew to completely finish the job--about 10 days after it was supposed to have been done. Had they not finished then, I'd have run them off and replaced them.
