It's been acceptable, they came out and did a good job, I had a little bit of a problem with follow-up because I thought the lawn needed to be rolled but they did an acceptable job and I was satisfied with it. All they did was plant sod in my front yard and they had a little bit of extra time and so they did some trimming in the backyard but it was not very long.

I was referred to this contractor by Miller Grass and hired them to replace the sod in a backyard. In addition, I asked them to patch an area with new sod in the front yard. The grass (St. Augustine) didn't look to good upon installation, however, I was told that it would improve. We followed the installers instructions regarding a watering schedule, mowing restrictions, etc.. After several weeks, I had a lawn specialist look at the grass and was told that it had a fungus and would have to be replaced. Also, the patch of sod in the front yard was the wrong type of grass (the grass is Zoysia and they installed St. Augustine) and had the same fungus. I tried to reach Gary at least five times and also contacted Miller Grass (they were of no help either). I had no other alternative than to hire another company and pay the expense of replacing everything that White Rock Landscaping installed. They have not had the decency to even return a phone call!

They did a good job and I would use them again.

Wonderful. Not only was the work first class, but we also received education on proper care and treatment of the new sod, which was very helpful. We are completely satisfied. The owner stayed on the job along with the crew to make sure every detail was perfectly in place; they cleaned up afterwards and were very efficient and professional. Gary is very responsive to the customer and we will definitely use this company again.

I called Gary on a Monday, and he came by the same day to give me an estimate. He promised to do the work the next day, which he did, and did it well. He also pointed out that I had a problem with a leak in a sprinkler system. He gave me a name an number of someone who could help fix it, but only after I specifically asked if he knew someone who could do the repair. He didn't try to sell me his or anyone else's services to fix it. Overall it was a good experience, and I will call him again next time. The price was lower than the last contractor who did this, with equal quality.

I called Gary. He showed up on time 2 hours later to give me an estimate. We made an appointment for him to do the work 3 days later. He showed up on time with 2 helpers and got right to work. Gary was professional and wanted to do the work exactly as I specified. They completed the work in 5 hours and I paid him the price we'd agreed on. I was very pleased with the entire job.

I called on Monday before Christmas to see if the yard could be leveled and sod placed prior to Christmas day (I needed the yard ready for a trampoline delivery for the kids from Santa). Gary went by the house, quoted an estimate, located the grass, tilled and grated a very un-level yard, and installed the sod all within 48 hours. He even made sure the sprinkler system and heads still worked after the sod was put in place and then called to make sure I was happy with the work. Fabulous!

Gary is very responsive to small jobs like this one, and very economical. He does exactly what is asked of him and his crew is fast, neat and thorough.

Look above. He knocked it out quickly but not too fast. They did the work that was needed and he followed up with check-ups during the work. Our sod looks incredible now.

He brought samples to make sure that they met my satisfaction. Work was completed in a timely fashion except for mother nature's interruptions. The stone worker was polite and careful and was able to speak reasonable English which was helpful when he was left by himself to work. He was very skilled. The sod was cut where necessary to fit. Gary gave me very precise instructions on watering and the lawn has flourished.

Gary is a very nice and honest landscaper. By his own admission he is not a landscaped "designer", but he and his crew were very knowledgeable and efficient at executing a plan that I had created, but could not do myself. This was yard "grunt" work at its finest. There was one small area that the crew failed to clean up very well (left debris from digging), but otherwise, the work was performed well and as I had asked. Although Gary did not provide a specific, detailed, written estimate, we did discuss these piecemeal projects in detail and I understood his pricing (per foot on drainage, and per hour on other stuff), and the total was in line with what I expected to get the work done. If you know exactly what you want to have done in your landscape and you need help getting it done, Gary is a great person to call.
