The Steam Team

They replaced my roof in the summer of 2014 in its entirety. It was about a $19,000 job. We had a lot of rain in May of this year in Dallas. We had a month of rain. It was almost everyday. The roof was leaking around the skylight in the master bath and now, my ceiling is stained. They came back and fixed the skylight but they've not been back to redo the interior. There was no cost because it was warranty work. The skylight was reinstalled incorrectly. That's why the roof leaked. They were not very responsive as far as the repair work. They were responsive when it was a $19,000 job. They were right on it. But as far as getting this repair work done, where it's coming out of their pocket, they've not been responsive at all. When they were here, they were fine. I wouldn't use them again, except to get the warranty work done.

The hot water hose connected to my washer tore a little after 8pm on New Year's Eve, 2013.  Thank God I was home!  After the fire department came to turn the hose off, I called my insurance company to find out next steps.  The Steam Team was one of three companies given to me by my insurance company, and they were the first one I called.  Giovanni arrived in a little over an hour and began working.  In a little more than five hours, he (with a little help from little old me helping to move furniture) extracted the water in several rooms, pulled the padding, removed baseboards, drilled holes, and installed 16 fans, 2 humidifiers, and one other machine.  (I think it was related to checking the moisture level.) 
For three days (one of which was New Year's Day), my downstairs area was loud and windy!  Corey came on 1/2/14 to check the dryness, machines, and moisture level.  John came on 1/3/14 to meet the adjuster (to handle any questions they may have had) and Corey came on the same day to remove the equipment.  All appears to be well.  I will probably still have an independent mold inspector come out to do an assessment before build-back begins.
SUGGESTION:  If you have rubber hoses connected to your washer, take the opportunity to find a plumber (on Angie's list, of course) and have them replaced with stainless steel ones immediately.  It may save you some pain and anguish in the long run.

It was a very good experience.  They were very prompt and the price was reasonable.

Overall, the carpet was clean, except for under a couple of ottomans that he didn't move. A chair mat wasn't moved for cleaning under as well. The technician was nice - I asked him for an estimate to clean the tile in my kitchen/den/hall area and when he called his supervisor asking him for help with the tile estimate, his phone was on speaker and the supervisor was more interested in the tech picking up his lunch! The supervisor said he would come out the next morning to give me an estimate. The next morning the tech called and said the supervisor "had an emergency" and couldn't come. I won't be calling Steam Team back - not professional.

They were prompt and quickly presented a very reasonable estimate. I added to the job on the fly because the price was very reasonable. They worked steadily and efficiently and were done in less time than I expected with great thoroughness. I will definitely call them again.

I had used The Steam Team back in Austin, TX and was so impressed by the service I received that I decided to use them again in Dallas. One thing that I really liked about their service was that I didn't have to vacuum the carpets. Their process includes vacuuming, whether you have done it or not. Once again, I was 100% satisfied. There were only a couple of stains that they were not able to get out. They offered additional services to remove these stains, but I decided to live with the stains instead. An example of how they go above and beyond was that the water company had not turned on the water at our new house as planned. When the technician realized that the water was off, instead of calling it a day, he figured out a way to turn it on temporarily, so that he could complete his work.

They did a very good job, were prompt, efficient and courteous.

Looked great. There were 2 pet urine stains owner tried to get out at the time of the accident but failed to get the entire stain out. The service man spent extra time on them and when the carpet was dry the stains were gone. It looked like brand new carpeting when complete. Very happy with service and quick response from company.

They did a wonderful job getting my carpets free of stains.

I have had many companies clean my carpets and I have never had them look as clean as they did when the Steam Team was finished.
