We contacted David Block earlier in the year to get on the schedule for new lawns in the front and back of our home. After some delays for weather, underground cable installations in the yard, and such, we got the work scheduled in late April. The crew devoted an entire day to preparing the soil and returned a couple of days later with one batch of sod (zoysia); soon after, they returned with the St. Augustine sod and installed it. In the process, a sprinkler head was damaged, which they replaced before completing the job. The crew were veryhard-working and professional. We are so relieved to have a lawn again! It has been a real pleasure to work with David, as he is always responsive and respects our desire to preserve our natural landscape with its many trees and shrubs.

We have had flooding at the back of our home since we moved in four years ago (a long-standing problem that we were not aware of when we bought the house), and we brought out numerous drainage companies to provide suggestions and estimates for fixing the problem. The recommendations ranged from sump pumps, to extensive french drain systems, to re-grading the entire back yard with price tags to match. Texas Oasis was the first company to come up with a straightforward, economical, and reliable system. David came out the day after I called, was punctual, and understood the problem immediately. His design was to install three strategically placed catch basins, several linear feet of 4" pipe, and gutter downspout tie-ins with all of the water being directed to the area of the front yard with the greatest slope and exiting through the front sidewalk into the street. The whole system works using the force of gravity. He sent a description of the plan with an estimate less than a week later (fastest turn-around of any other company). After we signed the contract, we had to wait over a month for scheduling due to rain and didn't hear much from them during that time. But they did contact us as soon as the schedule opened up and came out the same day! The work was completed in two days, the crew was exceptionally courteous, clean, and you never would know they had been in our yard when they finished. It has rained once or twice since the installation and the system works like a dream. No more standing water against our foundation, no more lakes right outside our patio door, no more water infiltration into our back bedrooms. We are exceptionally grateful!

The wait was long due to the high demand, but the wait was worth it. David Block had excellent expertise and was very focused on high customer satisfaction. His team were hard working, talented and did an excellent job -- even with all the shale in our yard. Great job -- cannot wait for it the pour!

Things went well. They took care of calling 811 to mark out all the utilities around the area where they were working. The landscape was left as undisturbed as possible considering all the digging they needed to trench in the drain from the back yard to the front curb.

We had to wait a couple of months before the work was done, but it was done quickly and professionally when it was started. All work was completed in one day, and the trench and two drains were done very well. I was very impressed with what Texas Oasis did!

David Block came out to observe the drainage problems we have been having, and he came up with an excellent plan and a fair price. His crew added a new drainage system and expanded and improved the existing system. At all times David and his crew were punctual, friendly and professional. Communication was also excellent. David is a drainage expert who has been in the business a long time, and we would highly recommend his company to anyone needing professional help with a drainage or landscape issue..

David bid the job in early March. The crew completed the work over two days on May 11-12. Acquiring the materials took longer than expected, and we were on vacation during April. It was well worth the wait. This is a very professional and hard-working group, which we had hired previously to remedy a drainage problem. We are happy with the result and can recommend them without hesitation.

i'm sick to my stomach about using this company. every step of the project was a fight to get what i wanted. the entire run of the system was done without a clean out or catch basin for two downspouts that are under trees. It cost me an extra 500 and another fight to get it corrected and when it was corrected i was called when i was already at work telling me they were coming over then. when i saw it i was furious that a 9 inch catch basin was used for 2 down spouts flowing into a 6 inch pipe. i called the manufacturer and they were surprised that the smallest catch basin available was used for a 6 inch pipe. Additionally the concrete work at the curb was atrocious, it was done and left to fen for itself in a downpour. An irrigation line was cut and I offered to repair it myself I just asked that they leave that open so I could get to it. Did that happen? No, now I have a leak somewhere and I have to hunt for it. I also asked that one entire area be left open because I needed to dig a trench for a gas line replacement. That didn't happen either. The one catch basin I managed to talk them into that was connected to a downspout was about 8 inches below grade. This is easily the worst Angie's List experience I have ever had, I almost don't want to use it anymore but I have a lifetime membership. If you do you research and are not ok with "it is fine" keep searching for a drainage company.

We used Texas Oasis Landscape 15 years ago for installation of a French Drain and Surface Drainage system on the front and side of our house and it has worked perfectly. When it became apparent we needed an additional drainage system in the back of our house, we called them again. Their systems are well designed and stand the test of time! We are very pleased with the second drainage system installation.

He was so professional and did precise measurements from the front to the curb. The water drains from the patio and the side to the drain they placed under the sidewalk. The had to remove a stone patio and replaced them perfectly. Before the installation, when it rained my closet was flooded as well as my dining. I am recommending them to my neighbor. I called them back to add another drain that I thought was included in the cost and they came and added the drain at no coat.

Outstanding! David was very professional, and knowledgeable - he explained the situation and how he would replace the French drain & add the driveway drain. He also explained they were very booked and could not do the work for at least 45 days. He obviously knew what he was doing, so we waited. It was well worth it and we are very happy with his team's work and cleanup.

The only downside to this company is that they are so popular!  I have high expectations, and am usually disappointed.  Only 1 in 25 contractors does what I think they should do in terms of communication, punctuality, quality, etc.  Texas Oasis is one of those "1".  David and his assistant landscape architect came out in January to look at what needed to be done.  We had drainage issues in the back and side of our house after building an addition.  We needed a swale cut into the backyard area to drain water from the house, and a French drain system along one whole side of the house.  After the French drain work, we needed sod and rock laid to landscape.  He sent me a quote a day or two later.  We decided to hire him.  He told me at the time that his jobs were about 10 weeks out.  I was willing to wait (his reviews here are very good and I had had him do a small job before).  The crew came and did an excellent job - and most importantly cleaned up after themselves!  The space was left exactly as I would have expected it - quality work and clean.  I would hire David again and recommend him to friends.

We waited approximately 6 weeks from quotation to commencement of work.  While initially a bit of concern, we learned his crew is very experienced and I'm glad we waited.  They performed all work in a matter of 2 days and it's extremely difficult to tell they excavated the back yard.  I'm extremely happy with their work.

This was hands down the best experience we have ever had with a landscape company!  We highly recommend them!
After the strong rains in April/May we wanted to improve the drainage in our front yard and shrub beds.  We met with several landscape companies to determine how they would approach the drainage improvement. It quickly became apparent that most were not knowledgeable.  Our estimates ran from $1500 - $10,000 for the work.
After much research and numerous conversations with our friends, all roads kept pointing to Tx Oasis and David Block. So, we called him.  He came out, did a very thorough and logical assessment -- taking levels of our yard, assessing pipe size, flow rates,
surface drain placements, down spout tie offs, and listening to our observations and concerns he provided us with an estimate.  It wasn't the cheapest estimate but it was the most well thought out and thorough.
We contracted with him to do the work.  His crew came out and in 3 days they were finished.  They took great care to not damage our shrubbery and grass.  The team that was out here was very knowledgeable.  We had a couple questions and they took their time to not only answer them but provide an explanation.  They are simply superb!
We also had a sprinkler system leak that 2 other irrigation companies could not diagnose.  So, we call Tx Oasis.  David sent a team of 2 out to our house.  Within 30 minutes they had it diagnosed and were replacing the lines.  It turned out several of the lines had hairline cracks in them.
After observing the work of many other landscape/irrigation companies, it's clear that TX Oasis not only has the text book knowledge of how drainage/irrigation/landscape works, they have practical, logical skill in spades!  Their prices are a bargain for what you get.  When they finish their work,  your problems are solved and your systems are functioning in tip top form.
We highly recommend them.  If there was an A++ rating, we'd gladly give it to them. They are superb!

David Block came out in mid-June to assess the situation and propose a solution.  He sent a proposal within a couple of days and we were added to the queue.  The company was very busy due to similar problems in the metro area as a result of the heavy rains in May. At the time, David estimated it would be five weeks. When a cancellation occurred this week, he called to ask if we could get the work done a bit earlier than expected, and we agreed.  The crew came over soon after, as did David.  By the end of the day, the work was finished with a minimal disruption to the flowerbed and lawn areas involved.  They crew of two was very industrious, friendly, and easy to communicate with. David called the next day to determine if we were satisfied with the work.  We found this company quite professional and are pleased to recommend them.

David, the owner came out within days of calling. unfortunately they were very behind in doing jobs due to the rains.  Once he told me he was coming to do the work, his crew showed up and in 2 very long full days they put in all new drainage around my house.  they cleaned up like they weren't even there.
