Stay away from this company at all costs. We had a large custom solarium window that needed to be replaced as part of a bedroom and bathroom remodel. I asked for a quote from Sunshine Sunrooms. Jerry Lackey the General Manager and Danny Ortiz the Project Manager came to my house, reviewed the project, and said they could absolutely handle the job. Jerry talked about how great their customer service was, how well they communicated, how I would be kept informed every step of the way, and how smooth the process would be. Even though Jerry was more like a used car salesman than a contractor, I decided to go with them because I thought they had expertise in this area. Unfortunately, none of what they promised from a customer service, communication, or timeliness of the process standpoint never materialized. I was the one who had to constantly follow up for updates on the build, delivery, and installation of the product. Throughout that process, I was given misinformation about when shipments would arrive, the completeness of shipments, and when installation could occur. I was told that all parts had arrived only to find out after the fact key pieces were missing because they didn't inventory their shipments. I was told installers would start on a certain day only to be told the original installer refused to do the project. This delayed our overall remodel for weeks because this window had to be installed before the bathroom was completed. This left us trying to get by with limited bathroom facilities and sleeping areas. Throughout all of this, even though Jerry Lackey admitted he knew what was going on, he never reached out to apologize or offer to help rectify the situation. The only other time I heard from Jerry was when he called me to threaten me with legal action on my property because I asked them for some consideration in the overall fees due to the inconvenience they put my family through. Can't tell you how frustrating this company was to deal with and having Jerry Lackey threaten me was just the icing on the cake.

The project went great from start to finish. I would and have recommended Sunshine Sunrooms to anyone in need of home repairs to full remodels.

It was very good. The owner was very good. He did an excellent job. They did it on time. They have good quality.

Salesman/co-owner arrived and did not want to climb onto roof to inspect actual problem or cause of damage or leaking. Instead, he wanted to see estimate from insurance company for how much they would pay and then wanted to be hired to be our GC to negotiate with the insurance company to a price point that Sunroom probably felt was reasonable to take on the business. I had a follow-up phone call with the salesman and requested instead a quote for full replacement and a quote for complete repair or sealing to watertight state and to provide the necessary scope in order to complete those work products since they are the "experts" in that field and that their bid would be evaluated outside of whether there was an insurance claim or not. After waiting a couple of days past the timeframe when the salesman promised that he would write up and deliver the bids, I checked with the salesman on progress and he declined to even want to provide service to my home. Everyone is entitled to refuse service, but I suspect that he was offended when I wouldn't allow his company to earn above average profits by screwing my insurance company and delivering an unknown work product, so I felt a review was appropriate.

I cannot believe they have such poor customer service, the estimator was late and didn't bother to call.  I never even received an estimate from them or a call after she spent 45 minutes of my time!

We have an enclosed patio area that has oval openings that are brick.  It is a beautiful outdoor kitchen patio area but the bugs were not allowing us to enjoy our outdoor space.  We looked all over the area to find a company that was willing and able to enclose the area with screens and add a screen door. 
Sunshine Sunrooms fit the bill.  They arrived on time, were very professional and priced very well.  the work done was excellent and we are so happy with our outdoor space.  We can finally enjoy family time outside without the bugs!!

We needed to replace some Eze Breeze windows and fix a leaky roof in our sunroom.  We called Sunshine Sunrooms and the representative was very nice.  We also received a followup phone call and were give an estimate based on the information we provided.  However, no one ever came to do the work.  We called again but no one showed up. 

Called a 3rd time and had a completely different experience.  I received a call back that day and was able to schedule an appointment for Jim to come out to our house.  Jim showed upon on time on the scheduled date/time.  Note that this was on a day when there were torrential rain storms in the DFW Metroplex where Lake Lewisville gained 10ft of water!  Jim did a FANTASTIC job of explaining all the available options for fixing our sunroom and providing all the pros and cons of each option.  He called back write away with a very reasonable estimate and he said he would send us a contract so he can start the work.   I am looking forward to having Sunshine Sunroom do the work and i will update this review after the work has been completed.

This review was updated based on my most recent experience so far.

UPDATE: Sunshine Sunrooms has completed the work as promised. They did a grate job and I am very happy with the work they have done.  There have been no leaks since they did their work.  I will be contacting them in the future to re-roll the panes for my older windows.

The process took longer than I expected. There were a couple of contributing factors: the permitting process in Plano and my inclination to get into the planning details of the project. 
Planning. Initial contact took place in December, 2013, with a contract signed late January. Based on some things I learned about not needing low-E for North-facing windows, an addendum was executed in early March that also including a few other tweaks I wanted. The Sunshine salesperson, Jim, was very accommodating in incorporating the changes I wanted as we went along. I have been told by different vendors that permitting in Plano has a reputation for being slow and involved. This project was no exception. Early on, based on our house foundation, I was required to get an engineering letter ($350) to okay the project. 
Construction. Preparing for and pouring/finishing the concrete foundation went smoothly. The only hitch was the need to remove the fence gate in order to get their mechanized cement hauler -- much faster than wheelbarrows -- into my backyard. Turns out the concrete walk put under the gate rubs it when the gate is fully closed. They did a good job of keeping excess cement and splatter off my lawn and house. The sunroom walls and roof went up quickly, as did the installation of the windows. Due to some of the windows being the wrong size/type, re-ordering and a workaround were needed. That caused some delay. That said, the final solution turned out fine. Shingling the roof also went smoothly, including ensuring shingling on the existing roofline had about an inch overhang to avoid leaks.
Electrical. This work was generally performed with care and clearly the expertise of a master electrician. He showed care in the appearance of his final wiring. However, we did initially fail an electrical inspection due to him not using Arc-fault breakers, a requirement for new construction; that's something the electrician should have known. Again, the final appearance/performance of the electrical installations has been good.
I ended up using a PTAC unit for air conditioning and heating, choosing a GE Zoneline. Sunshine recommended an Amana unit, which is widely used, but in my research, it appeared the GE unit was better. Although I could not find decibel testing on any of the units, we are extremely pleased with how quiet our unit is. (We were expecting something similar to that of some motels we have stayed in where the units are fairly loud; we can barely hear ours.)
All in all, we are very pleased with the finished sunroom. We separately installed indoor/outdoor carpeting, so it presents a bright, comfortable environment. While there were a few glitches along the way, Jim of Sunshine Sunrooms responded to them promptly and professionally. Any project like this may encounter snags, but it's how the company responds that makes all the difference. And this company responded well.
I would definitely recommend the company to a friend.

The men were very friendly and explained everything they did.  They cleaned the top of my sunroom, pulled the old silicone caulk, and applied new silicone.  The majority of the leaks in the ceiling cleared up after that.

These guys are pretty good. He was the only one around that would do something like that, that I can find, that did work on sunrooms. He did a good job. His price was pretty fair. I really didn't have anything to compare it to but I didn't think it was exorbitant.

Disappointing to meet someone that does not seem to care about doing business with you, does not meet appointment times, and never responds with estimates promised.

Overall I am very pleased with the service.  It was actually completed quicker than my original quote from Sunshine Sunrooms indicated.

I chose him because I know the owner. He comes to my gym. He is fine. He is very punctual and professional.

We had a leak in our sunroom roof and called the company to take a look. They told us that the skylights needed to be caulked. We approved the work and they performed it, and gave us a 1-year-or-3-return-visits guarantee on their work. Unfortunately, the leaks were not fixed - so Barry came out and recaulked the skylights. Again the problem wasn't fixed, so Barry came out and did the same thing again - but mentioned that he would try a different approach if the leaks continued - which they did. But Barry did not come out on the third visit - David did. He obviously had not talked to Barry about our situation, because he proceeded to recaulk the skylights AGAIN despite my objections. Guess what? The leaks continued. We have since gone with another contractor to fix the problem.

They are very good and very professional. Their bid was the most expensive but they provide very high quality service. They are very responsive.

The entire experience was great! Except for all the pounding of hammers. But I was at work for most of the day, so I didn't have to hear too much of it. I had done a lot of asking my friends and neighbors about company's to replace my roof. My good friend Robyn, who is also a realtor, recommeded Sunshine because she had been using them for remodeling jobs for years for her customers and herself. She said Sunshine Remodeling has 20 years experience, are honest and do a very good job. The roofing workers were all very nice and professional. Barry Hicks has a good sense of humor, and while he is professional, he is fun to work with. Barry gave me a choice of roof materials that were within my budget. I chose the same color I had on the roof already and the same composition. The roofing materials were delivered the night before and stacked nicely next to my sidewalk on the concrete. The roofing crew was fast and they cleaned everything up very nicely. They also installed a new skylight over my bathroom while they were replacing the roof. They esentially did that for no charge, all I had to pay for was the window part. So that was an unexpected added value! They did a nice job on that as well. I love it! The job came in on time and on budget. Painless. I think it came out beautifully.

Sunshine worked with my insurance company and got the job done quickly and painlessly. They cleaned up much better than the crew that did the roofing on my former house in Keller. The roofing crew guys were all very nice and did their job efficiently without a lot of polka music blaring all over the neighborhood. The color selection and type of shingle choices were perfect. I found out from Barry that he has been in the remodeling business for aboout 20 years in the Dallas area. It shows in the quality of work and the efficiency of the job. It was a pleasure to have the experienced people at Sunshine Remodeling and Sunrooms do the new roof on my home.
