This company is run by people that could not care less about their customers. We had S&H come out to install a floor for $5000. I had a competitive bid that the owner decided to match however he did not read the competitive offer because when the crew arrived to install the floor they did not have the new base boards or floating material to ensure that the floor would be installed properly. I made this apparent to Mr. Stacy and he reluctantly agreed to actually do what he agreed to do by matching the other offer. The problem begins with the fact that they didn't actually do that. The installation took almost 4 days and once the floor was installed the crew left as quickly as possible to get paid as they finished on a Friday afternoon October 30, 2015. After they left I decided to live with the floor for a few days before paying the balance of the bill to make sure everything was done correctly. Unfortunately S&H didn't feel like affording me that so they went ahead and charged my credit card without my authorization. I did not discover this for several days. Additionally as we became used to the floor we began to discover low spots throughout the entire flooring installation. There were literally over 20 areas in the floor where when you stepped there was a void under the laminate. We also began trio see small spots where the floor was bubbling up due to pebbles that were not cleaned up before the installation. When I began contacting S&H about this I made phone calls and sent emails for many days before any member of their management would respond to my communications. I was finally able to get some response after several days of trying when I let S&H know I would be disputing the charge if I didn't hear from them soon. Two weeks went by before we finally got a visit from the Quality Control manager. At this visit he would not acknowledge any defects in the floor and suggested we take a week and place painters tape next to the spots we were concerned about. This seemed reasonable so we did that and placed dozens of pieces of tape throughout the new floor. It took a month before the QC manager was "able" to come back out for the revisit. At this point he saw all the tape pieces and recognized there were significant problems because the floor had gotten worse during this time of waiting and my calling and emailing trying to get S&H to do the follow up. At the second QC manager visit he claimed he was delayed by helping another family with problems similar to our issue and for some reason he thought that would make me feel better about being ignored while he made someone else a priority. During the interval between the two QC visits my son was born, which was wonderful, but I was hoping to have had this issue resolved before exposing an infant to the mess and air impurities of the fix that I knew would be bad for my son's newborn lungs. This was apparently of absolutely no concern to S&H at any time or by any representative of their company. On the second QC visit the manager finally agreed there was a significant problem and told me they would take out the entire floor and reinstall it after doing the floor preparation properly. This was fine with me except for the issue with my newborn son, however at this point I just wanted to get the issue resolved. We scheduled the work to be done in early January over two months after the initial installation. When the crew arrived on the first day of a 4 day complete disruption of our lives for the second time. we had to move all furniture into our kitchen and bedrooms. We had two bedrooms in the house at this point that we were capable of being in while the crew removed the existing floor and then began the process of performing a proper installation. As the crew removed the floor they discovered: • The floor had not been properly swept and cleaned. There were blisters where pebbles had been left and covered over with flooring • There were globs of dried drywall mud all over the floor (from when the house was built) creating voids and blisters in the floor • There were large amounts of debris around the perimeter of the flooring that should have been cleaned • The sound dampening/insulating pad under the original installation was installed upside down nullifying its effectiveness • The floor had not been floated at all. This makes the floor more even and hopefully eliminates voids under the flooring that will warp and destroy the floor. The second installation took 19 bags of floating material to get the job done right. • The flooring had been installed out of square in the largest area covered • There was a linoleum floor in one room that had been completely ignored and cover over with the pad and flooring by the first crew • The transitions had been rigged in several different ways to look correctly installed upon the initial completion date of October 30. However the transitions began coming out or off of where they were installed within a few days. • There were a few other minor issues that we discovered but not worth noting • For the record, it was stated by the QC manager at the his initial visit that it is a very common practice for the floor to be floated, yet that was not performed in any way during first installation. I will say that the second installation was done properly however the floor was at this point in such bad shape that it had to be completely replaced to do the installation correctly. I feel that had S&H been truly responsive in the first place they may have saved at least a portion of that additional expense. The extra costs were the creation of the pathetic actions of S&H who had to spend thousands of dollars just to get the floor to where it should have been in the first place. During the second installation my family including my mentally challenged older brother who lives with us had to live in 2 bedrooms when we were at home with our newborn son. At the time I offices out of my house and was transitioning to a new office during my company's busy season. The challenges this re-installation presented to my family were enormous and made our lives incredibly difficult. We could not use our kitchen during this time either and in retrospect we should have moved to a hotel for the week until the installation was completed but I felt strongly that S&H would not have compensated me for that expense. As I now know I was correct in my assumption because I asked S&H to refund $1000 (20%) of the cost to compensate me for the money we had to spend eating out with a newborn every meal (approximately $400) and to have the house professionally cleaned again as a result of the dusty mess that was left for the second time, another $200. I felt the additional $400 was a bargain for the incredible hassle and inconvenience we had to suffer at the hands of these buffoons. Of course S&H did not agree with me, they felt the additional expense they had to put forth to get the floor where it should have been in the first place was compensation enough. †his attitude was enough for me to press a dispute with American Express which is still not settled on August 31, 2016. American Express gets more money from S&H than I give them so they have ignored my attempts to get reasonable compensation for my family's inconvenience, therefore I am exploring legal options at this point. The bottom line here is that in my opinion S&H Distributing is not a good company. They did the bare minimum to rectify a bad situation and that took over two months of harassing and threatening them to get them to do that bare minimum. I used to be a casual friend of the owner which is why I approached them in the first place and felt I would get a reasonable deal. I never asked for a discount until after the entire nightmare was over and I was flatly rejected. Work with these people if you want but know from me that I have nothing positive to take away from my experience with them and a tremendous amount of negative. Again it is my opinion based in my horrible experience with them that leads me to state that they will do nothing for you but try to ta

The facility is not fancy, the selection is limited, they would not give me samples to take home, and would not come out to my location to give me a free estimate.  However, they stated they do this in order to provide the lowest price possible to the customer. You must have your room dimensions including halls and closets and go by the store in order to get a price quote. If you are able to bring your paint color chips to their showroom, and any other color samples that you would need to match and choose a carpet color, then you will probably find something you like. They offer next day installation and the crew that installed my carpet was friendly, professional, and did a great job. Overall I was pleased with my experience and I think I bought good carpet, much nicer than typical rental quality carpet, for a good price.

The buying process was good, no hiccups. Good price. Very quick to come install. But when they came to install the flooring, they did not bring enough trim. We had to call and remind them several times to come back with the rest of the trim. When they finally showed up, it was the wrong finish. We have matte finish and they brought shiny finish. They installed it anyway, knowing it was wrong and said they would come back with the correct trim. Haven't heard a word back, that was over a month ago. Initial install was in April.

The 2 man crew showed up around 11 and got to work rite away. The had the carpet in my master bedroom in about an hour and half. Then headed to my rent house and got right to work, only taking about a 15 min break when the pizza came. They worked until about 8:30 making sure everything was done correctly. They were very professional in their work and cleaning up afterwards. I would definitely hire then next time I'm in need of carpet!!

I really needed to replace carpet in my master bedroom, guest bedroom and closets prior to putting my house up for sale. My realtor referred me to Sand H Distributing and I went by their Grapevine location which is located in the Stacy Furniture clearance center off of 2499.
Sand H showed me several options, let me take samples home, and scheduled my delivery and installation the day I picked a style. All prices quoted included moving furniture, premium pad, and removal of old carpet which I appreciated. Other companies seemed like they were trying to nickel and dime me to death with these as additions to the price per square foot.
They have next-day installation if you pick a style that they have in-stock at their downtown warehouse. If you want to see larger samples they welcome you to visit their warehouse. The installation process was flawless and I would recommend Sand H to others. The pad they used on my house was and quot;spill proofand quot; and had a plastic layer on top that prevented any future spills on the carpet from seeping down into the pad which I though was pretty cool.

Great Experience, totally effortless for me - the customer.
I went to their location to decide on flooring. Everyone was great and very professional. Chad was my salesman and explained everything and got me the best deal.
I went back one evening after work to finalize my selection and got there 5 minutes after they closed at 6. The manager was there and let me in and showed me the selections and even took time to show me some other options in my price range to choose from. They offered me a bottle of water when I was leaving and were very courteous.
The installation went perfect, everyone showed up on time and did a great job. We are very happy with the outcome, the quality and the warranty!

One of the salesman came out to the house. Mama and I picked out what we wanted. They didn't bring the carpet that we picked out. It's cheap carpet. It has big lumps in it, in every room. It's crap. I would definitely not recommend them or ever use them again.

Carpet is perfect. Just what I wanted. The installer did a great job. I cannot believe we got such a fabulous price for the carpeting and the installation on such short notice.

YES, I RECOMMEND THEM FOR TILE BUT NOT CARPET. HARD TO COMMUNICATE WITH, SALESMAN DOESN'T EFFICIENTLY RETURN CALLS. WORKMAN NEEDED TO BE WATCHED, PILLOW CASE WAS MISSING. ALLOW EXTRA WORK DAYS PAST PROMISED TIME. WORK WAS ACTUALLY DONE WELL.
