They were punctual, polite, and clean. Keith realized that he had some heavy work to do and called in Rodger. He warned me that the mirror was heavy and asked me if it was an acceptable risk to have it broken - I said yes. But the mirror was fine. Honestly, i thought the charge of $300 was very fair considering that they were there (two of them) for a little over two hours and they repaired the wall. Keith and Rodger had to remove two medicine cabinets and a light fixture before removing the very heavy mirror and then unplugged the drain. I would DEFINITELY use their services again.
Description of Work: I had a double vanity set of sinks on the second floor of my house that had overflowed, during the day, and soaked the rug (through to the ceiling downstairs). Keith examined the situation and determined that they would have to go into the wall. He asked me which side of the wall that I preferred him to go into. He called Rodger who came to help him remove the mirror (very large and heavy) from the wall. They went into the wall and unplugged the drain, and restored the wall and mirror! They also fixed a faucet that hadnt been working.

I noticed watermark in my first floor ceiling, which is right under the second floor bath tub. Called the company and got service at the same day. The company called me 30 minutes before the plumber showed up. Robert, the plumber was very professional. He knows the in-and-out of the plumbing system. He is patient to explain the details of what he was doing. He even gave suggestion on how to fix my other plumbing problems. He checked the bath tub valves and tried to get behind the wall. In the end he concluded that the water is from spill out of the edge of the tub or from the overflow. He re-positioned and tightened the overflow. Overall, I am very satisfied. The price is very reasonable.

While he was there he received several phone calls. What should have taken 45 minutes to an hour took much longer. When I asked how he came to the invoiced amount, he did not give me a good explanation. I was a bit surprised by the amount, especially given the amount of time he was on the phone. I paid the invoice, but would probably not use them again. If you do use them, ask for an estimate up front - which was my mistake in that I did not do that.
Description of Work: We had low water pressure coming out of a bathroom and a kitchen faucet. He promptly fixed the problem and then suggested cleaning out the other bathroom faucet (this just entailed unscrewing the tip of the faucet and running water through to get the sediment out). He also cleaned the drain in a shower.

I called and they had appointments available and came based on when was convenient for me. I thought I had a clogged vent stack that was causing a backup in my bathroom and my washing machine. It turns out the previous plumbers did not add a vent stack when they added the bathroom so Rodger's cleaned the existing unattached vent stack and since it did not solve the problem (not their fault) they didn't charge me quite as much as quoted, which was very nice. Robert (the plumber from Rodger's) discovered that there was no vent stack, and he also found out what the actual problem was with my washing machine and didn't charge me any extra to take a look. He gave me an estimate on what it would cost to fix the washing machine and to add a vent stack. He was very quick and efficient.
Description of Work: I called them to clear out a vent stack. They also ended up taking a look at my washing machine.

I ran into some difficulty repairing a leaking toilet myself so I called Rodger's plumbing based on the Angie's list reviews. They reseated an existing toilet on the sewer line and secured the flange, which holds the toilet down, to the concrete slab. They also pointed out that my 22 year old water supply valve would not allow me to turn off the water supply any longer no matter how much I turned it. I am not sure how that happened but he seemed to suggest that this type of valve isn't really high quality and that he'd need to place it with a new valve and supply line unless I want to turn the water off to the entire home any time I needed to turn of the water to the tank. I opted for him to repair it. Rodger's pricing is by the task, not by time. Each of those two tasks, water supply line and toilet repair cost about $130 apiece with my total bill at $292. It seemed a little pricey for a little over an hours worth of work but not worth making a fuss over. My only real complaint is that they would only take credit card payments if they charged a 3% convenience fee. I realize that they are charged that by the credit card companies but somehow other contractors I work with the past take credit and I don't remember them hiking the price just to cover that cost. Be warned if you want to pay by credit or have a checkbook handy. Overall the job was done well. They arrived just over an hour after calling so they are very prompt which I really appreciated. My toilet doesn't leak and the small amount of movement it used to have is gone. The water supply line was replaced with a more flexible mesh tubing and the valve has a much easier to use handle.

I called Rodgers and had no problem scheduling for my next work from home day. The problem was not urgent so scheduling for the next week was not a problem. The plumber arrived almost at the very beginning of the two hour window I was given. He explained what the problem was and fixed it in less than 15 minutes. I was charged slightly less than the service fee.

The service guy couldn't have been better, except that he was going to show me a problem in the street connector, but forgot to. He left the cover off and his T-bar in the yard; someone could have stepped in the hole and taken quite a fall. Fortunatley, my neighbor spotted the problem and I re-attached the cover; I had to call the rep back a couple of days later to adjust the chain on the flushing fixture he installed in my toilet. He came back and had it fixed in no time. And he was glad to have his T-bar back! I know this makes the Rodgers rep sound like an airhead, but compared with the guys my warranty company sent, this guy was a genius. Bottom line: he kept at the drain until it worked and didn't charge me an arm and a leg. He came back at no extra charge to follow up on the toilet problem.
Description of Work: After the drain "expert" my home warranty company sent out failed to clear my drain, I called Rodgers. They had someone out within a short time; he stuck with the job until he had the plug removed and a long-term solution for me that was a heck of a lot less expensive than what the warranty guy told me I needed. Basically, he ran a cable through my drains, but then he covered the cable head in cloth so he really cleaned the thing out. He also installed a new toilet fixture.

I called Monday morning and he was here by Monday at lunchtime. He worked quickly and efficiently and didn't mind that my two-year-old son wanted to watch. There were $24 worth of parts that he used that I wasn't told about beforehand, and he left the dust from the tub faucet project just sitting there - would have taken two seconds to wipe it up. Overall, though, good service.

Rodger's Plumbing gave me a phone estimate based on information I provided. The plumber arrived on time, looked the job over and we agreed on a time to complete the job later that day. Returned at the agreed time and did repairs as quoted. No problems, no surprises. Also Rodger's price estimate was 1/3 less than my previous plumber.

They came in with the likely cause of the issue which evidently is common for the brand of faucet I had. They gave me that estimate then soldered the pipe back together. The cold water suddenely worked. Rodgers did not have to replace a part as they originally thought and thus charged me for the work done and not the higher estimate. I really appreciated their honesty as I would not have known the difference. Unfortunately, I will need to hire someone else to repair the hole in the wall from the handy man!
Description of Work: I could only get hot water in an upstairs bathtub. I had hired a handy man previoulsy who cut through the wall, cut a pipe to confirm cold water was there but could not figure out the problem. I hired Rodgers to diagnose the problem and fix it.

Rodger's was able to get to me very quickly and did a great job. The effort took a little less than an hour so at $275 an hour - that is quite expensive. On the other hand, given the job they did and how clean the bathroom was when they left, I will probably use them again.

Professional, courteous work. I had to call them back for one small, minor repair which they promptly and thoroughly attended to. In the shower, which I only had necessary work done with an eye on replacing it at a later date, they offered suggestions of things I could do myself to enhance the appearance or the old shower. I found Mr.Gulley as well as his crew responsible, helpful and thorough in their work.

I called on Saturday--of course it happened on the weekend--and was told they were booked solid on Monday. She said they would do their best to get us worked in. They did, and fairly early in the day. When the plumber arrived we learned we had to replace the entire faucet system. He waited in his truck while my husband and I rushed to a home improvement store to pick out a new one. That took about 18 minutes. He removed the old faucet and installed the new one in about a half-hour. He was very pleasant and courteous...and conscientious. We had used Rodger's Plumbing twice in the past and were very pleased with them both times--for the quality of their work and for their reasonable prices. The man who fixed our recent problem repaired an outdoor faucet that we tried twice before to fix. That was in 2005 and it has worked great ever since. I was elated when I went to Angie's List to find that they are stars. I highly recommend them.

The plumber called before coming over. He and his helper arrived promptly, introduced themselves and were courteous. I have no complaints about the work itself, but they did not clean up after themselves and left all their trash behind. The bottom of the shower was black from their work boots. Both workers smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke and was a problem for me because of allergies. I asked them to replace the toilet handle and was told that other repairs needed to be made as well. Not sure if it was really necessary but I let them do it and it cost an extra $100. Not sure if I would call them again.

1) Not only did he clean out my husband's sink which took hours to drain, he cleaned out mine as well preventing what probably would have been a leek in a few months due to corroded pipes. 2) He took apart the nozzle and was able to explain that the water pressure is due to the particular sprayer faucet (which he has known to have problems), and I could either live with it or get a replacement from Home Depot. 3) He replaced the ball apparatus inside the tank and even tightened the toilet down because it was loose. 4) He gave me a fair estimate and explained the process I would probably go through to get a gas meter put in.

The crew, Jimmy and Cotton, was very courteous and professional. They work on a per-job basis rather than a per-hour basis. The shower mixer fix-up was smooth and took roughly 40 minutes. Jimmy charged me $155 for changing an assembly (including the price of the assembly). No tile/drywall breaking was necessary. What I suspected to be a main line leak was a leak in the pipe that was supplying water to my sprinkler system. After finding the leak, which was thankfully about right there, I was given an estimate of the overall cost ($375). They had to dig roughly three feet long, 8 inch wide and 15 inch deep trench to get enough access to be able to do the job. Overall this job took Jimmy and Cotton about 2 hours. They cleaned up all the messes when they left.
Description of Work: I requested two services: 1. The shower mixer was not mixing in hot water; I was getting cold water only. 2. I had a small leak in what I thought was the main line right around the sidewalk; water was leaking very gradually.

After doing some minor plumbing work myself, I noticed a soaked bedroom closet opposite where I was working. I called on a Friday night and Rodger's Plumbing sent someone out the next morning and he did a thorough search for the source of the leak. He also didn't mind all my questions or offering advice for future do-it-myself jobs. In the end, we determined the most likely cause was the water that leaked before I re-tightened the valve leaked under the base board rather than through the wall which is what I thought was happening and why I called. He was thorough in his search and professional and provided a fair cost considering the time that was spent even though no repairs were needed. We kept watch on it over night and will certainly call for any future plumbing repairs. He did fine a loss in pressure which he wasn't able to locate. We're keeping an eye on water bills and the recent problem area and will surely call them again if we notice anything.

Great. Two plumbers came and listened to the noise, then checked the backyard faucet. The problem was minor so I just paid the service/trip fee.
