We had another roofing contractor come out and inspect the work that Quantum had done. After further inspection, it was determined that one of Quantum's workers nailed shingles above the tar line, which broke the water tight seal resulting in water penetration through to the decking. The wood rotted and caused damage throughout the house. Quantum also failed to install flashing correctly around the master bathroom, which caused additional interior damage to the house. Finally, Quantum didn't replace the flashing around the chimney, which also resulted in water damage. It was determined that the roof was never installed correctly.
It cost $1,195.00 to repair what Quantum had done. We have contacted Quantum seeking reimbursement, but to no avail. I would hope that Quantum would be professional and stand behind their work, but obviously not. Needless to say, we will never use them again, and we will definitely not refer them to anyone.
