Pride Mechanical Garage Door Company

My home warranty company sent Pride mechanical out to fix it. It didn't look correct when he was done, and I foolishly didn't force him to show me that it was fixed correctly. He told me the door was dented beyond repair, and quoted me over $400 to replace just the door. About two months later I was forced to use the opener again and found that, to my surprise, it didn't work at all. I called the company, and was told it had been too long, and they weren't willing to come make it right unless I called my home warranty company again and paid them a new service fee. I declined, and will not do business with them again.

He was really reasonable. I liked him. He inspected things above and beyond what I called him out to do. He is very nice. He was very prompt. He could come out very fast. He was very reasonably priced. I didn't feel like was trying to sell me above and beyond what I asked him to do. He checked over my whole system to make sure there wasn't something else going to go wrong. He let me know of some other things that might go wrong in the next 5 years. I liked them

Glenn responded immediately to my call as my garage door had come off of the track and I could not get my car out. He got it back on the track and I asked him for estimates of replacing every piece of hardware and installing complete new door, opener etc. They were willing to do the work on my schedule. Glen came out to fix an old garage door that would barely open. He gave me several options at different price points and in the end helped me to get more life from the existing door. I will definately use him again.

I called on a Saturday morning. Within 1hour, Glen Johnson was at my door. He explained the problem, and quoted a price to fix it. He had everything fixed and repaired within less than 1 hour. Part of the problem with the garage door was that the door and the opener were not installed probably. Glen fixed those problems, as well. He was amazing! He was very professional and nice, too. I would recommend him to anyone.

Overall I am very happy with the service. The new garage door (belt-driven) is much smoother and quieter than the old chain-driven model. I will be sure to call Extended Life Garage Door for any future garage door service.

I called and was please to find that even though it was Sat. he would come out, which he did. He was on time informative and nice to do business with.He told me how much it would cost up front and frankly I don't know if that was good price or not. You don't get bids on this type of need on a week end.

They were good. I don't remember how much I spent. My experience was good. They were punctual and called ahead of time. They were on time. That is hard to find these days. I would use them again.

Great service! Glenn showed up on time and called in advance to let me know he was on his way. He explained everything that needed to be done, step by step, and the price he would charge. After he was finished he showed me how to properly do periodic maintenance on the door going forward. He answered every question I had and even gave me a senior citizen's discount when asked, even though he was not required to. He made it clear that I could call him anytime in the the future for any questions I had about his work or about garage doors in general. I was so pleased with his customer service skills that I attached his business card to the garage wall for any future garage issues.

Wow. I called at 3:30pm and they said they could meet me at my house in an hour! Since it was late in the afternoon, it was convenient for me to take off work a little early. The lady who answered the phone wasn't a receptionist but knew about garage doors and was asking me the specifics of my problem. Most of the time I get the "we'll have someone call you back" and then you have to repeat everything. When he arrived, on time, he was very professional and explained everything to me very well. I wasn't sure if it made sense for me to repair or just replace the whole unit. He did not try to oversell me with products. He explained the average life span of each part so I could make an informed decision. He replaced the gear and sprocket. He also explained a big part of the problem may have been that my track was bend. He repaired the track and put lubricant on all the parts. After he finished he showed my the work he had done, because I asked. He explained the routine maintenance I should be doing, which I never knew about. I have had some repair work and parts replaced with another company previously, but I learned a lot from him to keep my garage door working properly for a long time. I'm so glad I have Angie's list to let me know about companies like this.

I came home from work to find my garage door would not open. I realized my spring had broken so the next morning I called 3 different compaines that advertise in the blue packet you get in your mailbox plus one that is within 1 mile of my house. They all gave me vauge respnses and just pushed a technician to come out and take a look. I didn't want anyone coming out unless I had a good idea of what the cost would be. I turned to a search on craigslist and found garagedoortrouble.com. His ad and his website described my exact problem (because it is the most common problem with garage doors my age) and the price it would be to fix it! Very simple and straighforward. I called and set the appointment for 8-10 and Glen was there at 8:00! I had told my work that I may be late because usually in these situations the company shows up at the end of the time window they give me, but I ended being on time. Glen was very proffessional and genuine and wants to grow his business the right way. Everything on his website is as promised and as advertised. Excellent! Very fair price. I've replaced a spring myself before, spent nearly $80 on the spring, had to wait a week to get it, then took all evening to install and had to buy some 1/2 rod to make tools to re-wind it. For $160 to have a pro do it is a no brainer.

Glen was terrific. I'm a Realtor and come across many repair people and Glen stands out for his Customer Service. I also live in Irving and Glen was in Garland yet he came over on an evening, within an hour after I had called for service. My garage door had not been closing properly without me holding down the button and even though it was not an emergency, it was annoying that I could not close my garage door from my car control. Glen made a minor adjustment or fixed a shorted out wire but he fixed it within 15 minutes and 2 mos later it is still working. The thing I'm impressed with is that Glen was so happy to come over right away and take care of it even though it meant he had to cross town in 6:00 traffic. Thank you Glen, I will recommend you to my clients.

I called Glen Sunday night around 7 pm and left him a voice mail explaining that my garage door wouldn't open or close automatically; I mentioned that the motor made noise but the chain wouldn't move. Glen called back at 7:45 am Monday and told me he was fairly certain it would be a simple fix involving a new part. We made an appointment for 6 pm. Glen called ahead and arrived when he said he would. He quickly confirmed that the problem was the one he expected, and proceeded to replace the broken part. He was very helpful and explained how to perform regular lubrication of the hinges, and what other types of service and repair are occasionally needed. I paid with credit card via PayPal. I don't know what other charge for this part and service but what I paid was well worth it to me. Glen was professional, fast, thorough, and made me feel much better informed about the state of my garage door.

Outstanding service. I call Glen at 8pm midweek. He shows up within half an hour and did a complete tune-up / overhaul of my garage. My garage door had come un-bolted out of the wall, which subsequently buckled the door and dislodged the rollers. It was a complete mess---at 8pm. Glen adjusted the spring, replaced (4) rollers/wheels, aligned the door and replaced all the 1" bolts with 3" bolts. I will contact Extended Life garage door service without hesitation.

Glen is an absolute pleasure to work with. I have used Extended Life Garage Door twice now for two different houses and have been very pleased.
