upholstery, custom furniture
 + 0 moreThe wooden furniture is fabulous! Just wonderful! I adore it! The upholstered furniture is a nightmare. They just redid the backs of my dining room chairs and there still are wrinkles and rumples. I am giving up! They redid one cuddler chair and, again, did not get the pattern matching correctly. I sent it back. One pair of chairs were unbelievably bad. Almost everything upholstered had to be redone, which costs time and fabric. They did pieces I already owned that will have to be redone. Just horrible upholstery! Considering the pricing, one would expect perfection, which I did not get. Eddie has been quite nice and conciliatory. Considerable efforts have been made to make me happy. I appreciate that. The problem is that the upholsterers are not competent. Do not let these people do custom upholstery for you! If you like beautiful traditional wooden furniture, go for it!
Description of Work: I purchased most of the furniture for my new house from Pettigrews. They are "trade only". I purchased my dining room suite, dining chairs, living room furniture, a desk, a chaise longue, a headboard and bedside tables, a pair of club chair, and several small side tables from them. They are expensive but your designer can get you a very good discount if you are buying a lot, which makes the prices equivalent to high-end retail.
