She arrived at the scheduled time.. Prior to that, she kept me informed by phone whether she would be on time depending on the work she was doing at the time. When she arrived, she got to work immediately.
There were a few issues, and she was able to resolve them as they arose. She also answered a number of questions. When I had a follow-up call a few days later, she responded to the call and did not charge for answering the question.
"There was obviously a misunderstanding about what was to be done and why. A great deal of time I was there involved looking for missing disks. I could get some of what I needed off the Internet, but there was other material that was unobtainable. This was naturally time consuming. Their desktop computer was 6 or 7 years old and failing. The CD drive probably would not work because of it. They agreed that it was time to buy a new PC so I did not direct any more energy to the CD drive. I found a new PC for approx. $350 that would suit their needs. It was their option to spend more. I was assured that all their data was backed up to the external backup drive. They should have been able to restore their data from the external drive to the new computer. It was not something they asked me to do after I finished the reinstall. They did not want me to install any programs. I agreed to put a fresh install of windows on their existing machine. The member could not find his restore disk for their Dell and their was not a restore partition on the old PC. I offered to install a demo version that would expire in 30 days and they agreed to that as they would buy the new machine soon. I did so. I was never informed that they could not load any programs on it, so I don't know exactly what the problem was. I shortly received an email stating that they were dissatisfied. In the email, there was NO request for a refund but I immediately sent them back a check for the FULL amount I charged them. I did receive an email saying they had received it. My work is fully guaranteed and I would have returned as many times as necessary at no charge, to see that they were satisfied."
