She arrived at the scheduled time..  Prior to that, she kept me informed by phone whether she would be on time depending on the work she was doing at the time.  When she arrived, she got to work immediately.

There were a few issues, and she was able to resolve them as they arose.  She also answered a number of questions.  When I had a follow-up call a few days later, she responded to the call and did not charge for answering the question.

Due to the installation of new carpet, my computer was disassembled. PC Momma responded promptly to my call and scheduled an appointment at a time convent for me. She arrived on time and immediately went to work putting my computer back to work. She tested each part to be certain everything was operating properly. I was very satisfied and would not hesitate to use her services for any of my computer needs.

We had to change our passwords due to hacking and couldn't get all of our devices to recognize the new passwords.  Sharon worked through the process with each device and got us up and running again.  Worth every penny!

P.C. Momma (Sharon Smith) arrived promptly at the time we had arranged. We briefly discussed what I needed done and she got right to work. She set up a router so that I could receive Wi-fi service. She then taught me how to use features of my computer that up until then had been a mystery. She was very professional. I would not hesitate to contract her services again.

He was great.  He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, and he was very kind and considerate.  I still receive emails from him checking in on me.  While he was here, he was very informative and taught me a lot of good computer skills.

We called on a Sunday afternoon and reached Sharon. We told her that the PC suddenly just stopped turning on. She thought it might be the power supply and said she would pick one up that day and come to our house on Tuesday. She arrived at the time she said she would and went right to work. She explained what she was doing the whole time. She had to remove several of the components to get the old power supply out and put the new one in. It took an hour and a half, and our PC was back in business!

We called Sharon to help us make our old router modem work with our new internet service provider. The equipment was too old and we had to get new equipment before the new service could be started. Sharon knew exactly what we needed to buy. She didn't charge us for the first visit because she couldn't repair the problem. We called her back when the new service was available and she returned to set up our equipment, update the settings on our computers, and make everything work as it should. Great customer service from Sharon! We'll call her back if/when we get any new computers, etc. Great job!

My PC wouldn't turn on - and it was a huge emergency because I need to look up payroll data to pay my intern. She was going back to school and I was getting ready to go out of town. I knew I was going to be replacing the computer soon. There were many more problems; it was time for it to go and I didn't want to spend too much money on it. But I had to get some data off of it that evening. I was on my way out to a meeting, but Sharon arranged for me to bring the computer to her on my way out, and she fixed it while I was gone. She was able to set it up so I could manually turn it off and on. I felt that the cost was extremely reasonable. She was very responsive and flexible to my crazy needs and my schedule. I was in a big bind, Sharon understood and got me taken care of quickly and economically.

She added a firewall program that caused some conflict with existing software over the next few days. We mutually agreed I could remove it and rely on MSFT firewall only - I did that myself. None of the fixes she tried for the installation program worked. She spent quite some time over the next weeks researching the problem and trying different fixes [she can access computer remotely with user's permission]. When nothing worked despite all her efforts she told me to call MSFT Support, and if they charged me, she would reimburse me. I confess I was concerned about her inability to solve the issue, despite all her efforts. But, it took MSFT Technical Support 2 days to find the problem and fix it - it took going thru 3 levels of their techs all the way up to Escalated Support level before they could do it, so I don't think she can be faulted for not finding the solution! MSFT chose not to charge me for the help.

Terrible. The first visit was approximately 2.5 hours long and cost $100. She spent a good deal of time trying to figure out things. When she left the laptop was connected, but within 15 minutes the connection was lost and we were unable to restore it. She was not able to upload the cellphone photos and suggested we go the T mobile website for directions. She didn't get to the CD burner as she ran out of time before her afternoon appointment. When I called to tell her the laptop wasn't working we set a time several days later for her to return and continue to work on it. Also, maybe this time she would be able to address the CD burner. The second visit lasted approximately 2 hours and cost another $100, however, when she left we had no operating computer. In her attempt to get the wireless laptop router installed, she overwrote the operating system on our pc with, apparently, some substandard system. All our data: email, pictures, files, programs, everything, was lost. She then asked us how old our computer was and said we needed a whole new system. She offered to build us a new system (we did not take her up on that). She then got on line and said Best Buy had a good deal. She said we would have to reinstall all our programs. She offered to return to help us do that or install our new system, charged us $100 and left. Before leaving she made some comment about making $100 every visit and how she could get used to that. We were unable to retrieve any of our data or reinstall any of our programs, getting incompatible error messages. We did have to buy an entirely new computer system ($562.86) and have only been able to retrieve a small amount of the lost data. We had the Geek Squad acitivate the laptop ($139.64) and we will have to take the hard drive into the store and pay them another $100 to extract and transfer the data (if possible). Needless to say, disappointed doesn't begin to describe how we feel about this entire situation. Had we not been in shock when she left the second time, we might have questioned paying her at all for reducing our fully functioning computer to rubble.
Response from PC MOMMA
"There was obviously a misunderstanding about what was to be done and why. A great deal of time I was there involved looking for missing disks. I could get some of what I needed off the Internet, but there was other material that was unobtainable. This was naturally time consuming. Their desktop computer was 6 or 7 years old and failing. The CD drive probably would not work because of it. They agreed that it was time to buy a new PC so I did not direct any more energy to the CD drive. I found a new PC for approx. $350 that would suit their needs. It was their option to spend more. I was assured that all their data was backed up to the external backup drive. They should have been able to restore their data from the external drive to the new computer. It was not something they asked me to do after I finished the reinstall. They did not want me to install any programs. I agreed to put a fresh install of windows on their existing machine. The member could not find his restore disk for their Dell and their was not a restore partition on the old PC. I offered to install a demo version that would expire in 30 days and they agreed to that as they would buy the new machine soon. I did so. I was never informed that they could not load any programs on it, so I don't know exactly what the problem was. I shortly received an email stating that they were dissatisfied. In the email, there was NO request for a refund but I immediately sent them back a check for the FULL amount I charged them. I did receive an email saying they had received it. My work is fully guaranteed and I would have returned as many times as necessary at no charge, to see that they were satisfied."

She repaired my wife's computer which had a dead hard drive, installing a new drive. However she left the old drive in, initially in hopes that the old drive might work if it were non-bootable - it didn't. I'm sure I said since it didn't we should pull it but she didn't. I didn't insist but it became evident after a few weeks that every time it tried to boot up it would try to access that old drive making a loud noise. I called her and asked her to pull the drive, which she did. It took her maybe 5 or 10 minutes and she charged me $50. She indicated she had left it in on my instructions but I didn't feel that was the case, I didn't feel like arguing so I left it alone.

PC Momma interviewed me in depth over the phone regarding my computer issues. She told me in detail the materials needed for the job. Since I was then certain of what was needed, I was able to be very specific when I went to the electronic store. Once I had the materials, PC Momma came to my home and performed the services. As a result, my computer speed is much faster and I can back up my files in the external hard drive. My husband and I are very pleased.
