I could not be more pleased!!! Juli listened and persevered until I was pleased with each selection. She has an amazing number of samples and each sample is large enough to make an educated decision on the spot based on the lighting in the room. Julie provided a written recap of my choices, so I was prepared when I visited the paint stores. When I asked, she also gave suggestions on lighting. I have painted two rooms based on our paint colors choices and I am very pleased with both. Juli provided her rates when we booked our appointment and I feel that it was money very well-spent.

It went great. Juli was a pleasure to work with and extremely fair in her billing. I would highly recommend her as my experiences with two previous "color experts" was not as nearly positive as it was with Juli.

Julie listened to my ideas and brought them into focus. She gave me options and helped me to choose the best flow of colors for the spaces. I felt she was the right professional for the decisions I needed to make and will use her again in the future. I would also not hesitate to recommend her to friends.

Julie was great with options to do some minor updates but stated with much appreciated candor what my issues would be if I wanted major changes and what steps to take. A true color expert. I think it is a very economical and less stressful way to plan and coordinate your color preferences and what looks good in your habitat. I will certainly be using her services again!

First, I was impressed with Juli's responsiveness. She quickly returned my phone calls and emails. We set up an appointment with a few days. She came to my home with many, many color samples. She was extremely helpful and obviously has a keen eye for color. She gave me peace of mind about my tile selection and had lots of great ideas. the visit was one hour and I feel like I gained so much information. Yes, I will use her again.

I needed design help with a couple of recently remodeled rooms. I had no clue as to types of paint to use or how to structure the aesthetics of my rooms. I set a appointment with Juli Roland and and she was very quick to respond to my request and arrange a time to visit. She showed up exactly on time and helped me with my decisions with the design of the room and offered suggestions I had not thought of. Very professional and I would recommend her highly. I received exactly what I was expecting.

She was extremely responsive to my request and we were able to schedule a convenient time for her to come out.  She arrived on time.  She had a lot of paint samples with her.  She was very knowledgeable about color.  I am so glad we found her.  I will most definitely use her again should the need ever arise.  Highly recommend!

The colors she picked worked very well.  She even helped me pick out a color to match the wallpaper that I had chosen for my daughter's room.  It's all done now and looks great!

Her consultation with us was great.  She showed up on time and on a Saturday which worked out great for us.  She walked us through all of our spaces and gave her suggestions for color choices.  After going through several options we were able to narrow them down to one color which worked out great. We are happy with the results and plan to use Julie again for future projects

I am having new windows installed and the house painted.  I enlisted Juli's help in picking the colors.  I am so pleased.  I feel much more confident now that I will be happy with the results of spending all of this money. Juli was great at listening to my preferences and what I wanted to achieve.  She honed in on color choices that made it easy for me.  The color for the door is something I am sure I would never have thought of and I'm so excited about it.  She also made great suggestions about several things I could do to get just the look I want. Small things that will make a big difference. I will definitely be calling Juli for advice on some other projects I have on my list.

After describing what we liked and didn't like about our existing exterior house colors, Juli pulled out three color swatches that were exactly what we were seeking. She provided the paint color specs, so we are now prepared to move forward with getting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the color changes. She listened patiently while I described several interests and concerns about interior wall and trim colors and she provided great advice about how to make decisions and move forward with our house restoration.
Juli doesn't beat around the bush... if you mention an idea that causes her some concern she will politely describe why it might not be such a great idea. In other words, you get what you pay for... sound advice. However, the entire process took a little over an hour, so she charged us very little money for the exceptional services and advice that she provided.

I sent a message through Angie's List email link and within a few hours Juli had responded with her availability to meet me at our brand new house.  We made plans to meet on Monday after work and as planned, Juli showed up on time with her binders of colors and her large color boards (which were perfect for placing around the house to get a sense of what the color would actually look like)
Once inside, she asked me about my style, color preferences and ideas for the house and then we got to work.  Within one hour she had picked the perfect colors, offered advice on painting both sides of the front door black (which I would never have thought of), suggested painting the ugly old bathroom cabinets black to give them some "life" and to paint the mantle black (which also, would never have crossed my mind).
To date, my house is painted in the EXACT colors she picked out for each room and I have NEVER been more proud of a house and I've owned 6.  It looks amazing, warm, fresh and inviting - just like I envisioned.  Actually even better than I envisioned to be honest.
I went into this task stressed beyond measure and the minute Juli arrived at our house on that Monday - I just knew it was all going to work out fine. She is calm, precise, honest, fast, professional, FUNNY and fun to work with.  
Now, being on the other side of the project and seeing all the colors together, I can say the paint colors are absolutely perfect.

Late on Dec. 6, I sent an email to Paint Color Help requesting assistance to pick colors for the exterior of my house.  I had an urgent request because a siding company would start work on Dec. 10.  Juli responded on Dec. 7 and provided a date and time that she would be available.  On Dec. 9, Juli arrived as expected, reviewed my home exterior, asked questions about the upcoming home repairs, selected colors, and explained her choices.  She also guided me on colors to avoid which was just as important to me.  Within an hour, I had a color scheme and other suggestions for my exterior.  I paid $85 for this consultation and am very pleased and grateful for the service.  I would recommend Juli for any painting needs.

What can I say, Juli is AMAZING! In the first couple minutes, I wasn't sure if we were on the same page, and then WOW, she totally got me, got what I needed and the color and ideas were flowing. She even helped me with lighting ideas and placement. I was a little worried the color might be too dark for us-- and she helped me adjust it until it is was perfect-- and I am a perfectionist- but she was so patient and so helpful. The end result: We are insanely in love with our new kitchen colors. I almost paid a high end interior designer when what I really need was just some color and light help. Juli also helped me with recommendations on color (and material) for countertop and backsplash. She is a dream. I can't wait to do my next room and call Juli. I have really high expectations, and Juli nailed it. There are not many people I say, I just want to work with them, on anything! She's a gem. P.S. She also bailed me out on short notice when my painters were coming in about a week.

I called Juli after having trouble finding suitable paint colors for the home we just purchased; she was able to squeeze me in the day I called her. I had a family of colors in mind, but wanted help putting together a cohesive palette so that there would be a natural flow of color from room to room.
Before we visited our new house, she came to my current home to view some art pieces and fabrics I wanted to incorporate into the design. She brought an assortment of color decks with her and had large poster-sized samples of several shades. After narrowing our choices down, we took the samples to the other house and made our final selections, taking into account the light in the rooms, existing cabinetry, and flooring. I think the whole process took us about two hours.
She offered consistently helpful advice. For example: When I noted that the gray color I had originally considered seemed to wash out against the kitchen cabinets, she suggested using greys with blue or green undertones to counterbalance the yellow undertones of the cabinetry. And she was right on. The grey with a colored undertone transformed the space. It instantly looked brighter.
I also appreciated that although she was very willing to offer her opinion on which shades she preferred, the selection process was very client-led and allowed me time to come to my own decision. I'm extremely pleased with the colors we selected, and the house looks wonderful. My only regret is that I didn't call her sooner! 

She observed our home as a whole and determined through that observation what colors we like and what would best coordinate with the rest of the house.  We love the paint color she chose, a color we never would have thought of on our own.  Now she's helping with colors for art and other accessories.  She is very professional and great at what she does! |

We would like to refresh the interior of our home by repainting and we needed someone to help us with color ideas.  Juli was so patient, kind and professional and had wonderful ideas.  She takes time to get to know your personality a bit before suggesting colors and generously takes her time finding just the right colors for each room.  Before she left our home we were very comfortable with the colors she chose and grateful we found her on Angie's List!

It went very well.  I had a color idea for the exterior doors and windows that I wanted a second eye to review before spending heaps of money on paint.  (One gallon of this paint was 56.00.)  I further needed suggestions for the exterior iron railings and interior spaces as well.   I showed some pictures and we walked through the interior and reviewed a few paint suggestions.  When complete, she wrote down the color suggestions in which I am going to try swatches on.  Paint is so expensive.  To me it was worth the price to have the consultation at 50.00 per hour than to continue to waste money. 

Julie was right on time, and gave suggestions to help me overcome my block on color choices. Even on colors to incorporate adjoining rooms. Definitely will use her anytime!!

Juli was a pleasure to work with.  I initially discussed what my wife and I were looking for over the phone.  We were stuck on paint colors for multiple rooms in the house.  
She gave GREAT advice and was very personable.  She found the colors based on the current setup of the house, our style etc.  She made recommendations the day of the appointment.  If we didn't like something, she gave other options.  She gave us her opinions in each room, and described reasons why certain colors wouldn't work, would work etc etc.  
I wish we had found her years ago.  This saved a billion trips to the paint store...which would have been painful.  When she left, we had agreed which paints to use and we are now focused on hiring a painter.  She gave us everything we needed to pick these paints up at about any paint store.

I was "stuck" on  square one, unable to come to a decision on carpet and paint colors  She narrowed down the carpet colors to three for me to choose from and gave suggestion for color to paint the walls.  I was then able to move forward and get the work done.
She also gave me a fun and updated suggestion of a color to paint my front door to give the house greater "curb appeal"
She kept me informed about the time of her arrival and gave me the full hour I was paying for.
She is a great person to work with.

I called Juli and we discussed my master bathroom remodel and what I needed help with.  I e-mailed her websites to look at the color options for flooring, vanity counter and shower enclosure we were contemplating.  I also e-mailed pictures of the bathroom.  We set up a time to meet at Peeks Flooring and my contractor's wife met us and Juli there with the samples for the shower and vanity.  Juli did a fabulous job in coordinating the colors of the different materials.  She also picked out a color for the bathroom walls that I would have never thought of and even gave me a swatch.  After the appointment she e-mailed me a list of resources and websites which gave me some great ideas for finishing touches.  I will definitely be calling her to help redecorate the rest of my home.
