My Fit Foods

I buy meals regularly from the store in Southlake TX. I find them fresh and lower in carbs than other meals. The prices are very good when you compare them with any grocery stores like Central Market near by. They have a great selection to offer, and the staff is always there to greet you, and answer your questions.

The name My Fit Foods is highly misleading. Some of the dishes contain incredible amounts of salt. This is not indicated on the label on each container. You have to research the menu on line or in the store to determine which foods are healthy and which come close to providing an entire days recommended intake of salt. Don't count on the sales staff to warn you of this serious issue. Also be aware that many of the items have best by dates for the day of purchase or a few days later. Don't count on the staff to mention that either. When I contacted the company they provided the lame excuse that some of their more active members need a lot of salt. I've never heard that before and there are plenty of ways to add salt to your diet if you are engaged in heavy exercise that would not involve overly salting your regular meals. The extra salt does not improve the food's flavor and someone who buys the food thinking it is healthy may in fact be causing high blood pressure or the other health issues caused by too much salt. Bottom line is that much of what I bought wound up in the trash. When I complained on the company web site they offered a list of lower salt items but no offer of a refund or coupon.

They have been around for a couple of years. They have fresh, preservative-free food that is ready-made. It helps in weight-loss. I can just pick it up and put it in the microwave. I can pre-order some food and pick it up. They are awesome and are priced pretty well.
