Modern Masonry & Stonework

I contacted seven contractors for quotes on extending a very small pre-existing covered patio.  I had an idea (detailed bird's eye view) of what I wanted for the space but asked each contractor for input or changes.  Five of the contractors were landscapers.  Dusty from Modern Masonry was the last contractor to visit our home.  He liked my design but showed how making an L-shaped kitchen space would actually give me more space and interact with guests while cooking rather than having them at my back.  He also included a raised area behind the grill area where guests could sit on stools for added seating.  At first, I thought all these additions would be pricey; however, his quote was very competitive with the others. He provided me an itemized list on the quote in case my budget was limited. Fortunately, I had all the work done.  He was at the worksite almost daily, and his workers were very nice.  On a couple of occasions the workers did not show up, but Dusty reassured me that the project would be completed on time.  Dusty was easy to work with, he showed me completed projects at his other client's homes as well as phone numbers for referrals.  I was impressed with his attention to detail.  His suggestions on stone choices were perfect to what we already have in the home and makes a seamless transition throughout the house.  The work was completed with a high degree of quality.  His workers cleaned up after themselves.  I am extremely proud of outdoor space and have entertained friends and family over six times in six weeks.  When I show before and after photos, my friends cannot believe the transformation.  I will continue to use Dusty for future projects.  I highly recommend him.
