This was the worst moving company I have ever used!!! A 1 bedroom/ 1bathroom loft style apartment took them over 4 hours to complete and charged me $640. They additionally did not move everything as I quote them, they do not move bags or vacuums as they only move furniture and closed boxes. Here is my issue, they did not move my shoe boxes there were several boxes left behind, when I inquired about boxes being left. They asked where they were I said in the bathroom, his response was that they do not go into the bathroom. Strange because I thought that was in the apartment, thus a part of the movable space. They broke my tv stand, did not assemble my bed correctly. When I called to ask questions about everything, they got an attitude. I told him I was going to complain to the BBB, he stated good luck and did nothing to help me understand why they were such a pass poor company. Anyone knows that when you are moving it can be a very stressful time, he did nothing to address my concerns. The people moving were lazy and took many breaks, this contributed to the 4 hour move, please additionally keep in mind my old space to the new space was only 5 miles apart. If I could give them 0 stars I would for sure! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOVING COMPANY!!!

This was the second time I use this company. The first time i used them It was to move into my old Apartment. When it was time to move I looked for them again but I was hesitant to used them again because of the reviews here. I asked Marcos about the bad reviews and he explained to me it was from coupon clippers looking to move a lot of furniture in just 2 hours and this is why they were not happy because it took longer than 2 hours. Having deal with this company before And knowing how they worked I decided to give them another try. Last time I moved it was 2 hr 1/2 and paid $185 but this time It was different cause of the storage I had. I gave Marcos the list of items and they estimated maybe 6 to 8 hours long due to the storage unit . I ended up booking the move and the movers arrived to do the walk through like before. At the end it took 7 hours and I paid $560. They were right on the money with the time estimation. I was very pleased like last time and I have no complains.

I was not pleased with them at all. I got them 2 hours for $99 and I was in a hurry to move, which they did. I was moving from a house to an apartment. I got them, and they said they would be here between 5 and 7, and I was ready for them, and they called and said they would be late, and they didn't get here before 6:30. They called and said that it may take a little longer than what I was anticipating, and I said that I was just moving a one bedroom apartment out of my house, and it couldn't take that long, and they said that they wanted me to know upfront, that if it does, I would have to pay extra per hour. I said okay, and that was when I was fully committed. I told them I lived upstairs, and told them everything up front. They had 2 guys, one mover was experienced, and the other guy was small, and did not have experience. They got me moved after 5 hours, and that was 3 hours extra. I had to pay them $300 extra. I would never use them again. They will probably say that I had more, and I had things upstairs, but the only thing I had upstairs was the bedroom, and 2 chests of drawers. They didn't even carry my lamps and other little things, I had to do that myself. The first guy was friendly, and I told them that I didn't want the guys to be wasting time, and he said they were professional movers. They wanted cash, so I had to go to the bank to get it.

"[member name removed]. 1. you did not pay $300 dollars you pay $250 for 3 extra hours. 2. when we talked on the phone i told you upfront your move will take between 4 to 5 hours. it took 5 3. the day of the move i even went to your house to see the items and I told you the same 4 to 5 hours for some reason you kept saying if it takes that long Im not going to be happy. 4. the arrival time is between 5:00 and 7:00 pm we were not late this means that we are going to be at your location between those 2 hours so this is the second lie. For some reason all this bad reviews are coming from customers that purchased the $99 deal for 2 hours. we explained everything to everyone we are very upfront we been in business for 7 years and in less then a month we got 4 bad reviews more than in 7 years combine so go figure and only from customers that purchased the deal. 5. You wrote 2 bad reviews on or company clearly you are trying to trash our name you are one the 5 customers from angies list that tried to blackmail our company saying and i quote: im not happy and I know what to do next since im an angies list member."

Initially I talked to them on the phone several times to set up the move, which wasn’t a pleasant experience but I still went on with it because I had bought a special from Angie's List. I paid the 99 dollars for the move from Angie's List and they said that I had to go to their website, which when I went there it said 95 dollars for the same thing. I didn't even care about that though, so I didn't even bring it up. There was suppose to be two men to come out and move, and the two men were older than me, and I am 43 years old. I had a washer and dryer, which they said the washer was 20 dollars extra. I had a 55’’ and 70” TV, a night stand, a TV stand, one little chest, and one bed including the frame and mattress and a table. I took everything apart and had it all ready so all that they had to do was come in and pick everything up and then wrap and load, which I didn’t care too much for the wrapping either. My cousin and myself ended up loading everything onto the truck. The only things the other men did was the two TV's, the washer and dryer and the TV stand. The other stuff I loaded. I paid for two hours, and we didn’t leave my apartment for an hour and a half. My new house was 30 mins from my apartment, so the two hours should have worked out fine, but they were driving 45 miles per hour on the highway. We got to the house, they unloaded the washer and dryer and I have pictures of myself and my son unloading and carrying the rest of the stuff in while they were playing with my washer and dryer. They asked if I wanted them to hook it up, which I said no because I can do it myself. The main reason I wanted the movers in the first place was because I needed help moving stuff upstairs. At that point I just didn’t care and wanted them to leave. I ended up calling to talk to the manager, and the receptionist was very rude. The manager finally called me back and left me two messages. In both messages he was very unprofessional and made it seem like I was complaining about the additional fees. The additional costs and refund were not what I was concerned about, I just wanted him to know to help better his business.

Well I had received a phone call in the morning to let me know who they were and when they were going to be here. They said they were going to arrive more around 12:45pm but actually showed up at 1:15. The mover introduced himself and wanted to see what he was going to take so he could picture how he was going to put everything into the truck. As he looked he knew. So he wrapped everything that needed to be wrapped and started hauling. He made it clear that his hours don't start till he moves the first item and that is the way it went. I was very impressed with how much he knew about moving when I spoke to him the day before the move. The reason saying is because he knew right on the money how long it was going to take to get everything out and then put in to the new house. And he was correct. It took an hour and half to get everything loaded and then another hour and half to get to the other destination and put everything back into place. I liked how he disconnected the washer and dryer and then reconnect everything back at the other house. They were very careful with putting things in and out of both houses. He inspected every furniture carefully to let me know of certain damages that were already there if he saw it before he took it. They were fast and efficient. For the price I paid, it was a bargain. :)

The move went very well. Marco team was on time. They were very detailed and fast with the hold move. Everything that needed too be wrapped was done. Pricing was good also I would recommend them to anyone.

"[member name removed], We looked on our records and we could not find a customer by the name: [member name removed] please reply with the name you use when you setup the appointment. Also on the date you are referring february 11, 2014 we did not have any moves in grand prairie texas and we did not send a crew to the address you put on your review. When a customer setup an appointment with our company they have to do this on our website and they receive a confirmation email with the specific information about your move such as address contact information as well as you personal info, and we could not find yours anywhere. The alleged date of your move was on february 11, 2014 and today is april 21, 2014 almost two months and a half after your move, before then we never received any call or complaint about our service during or after your move, only after 2 months you decided to write a review with out letting our company address it or take care of the matter. On your review you did not write what exactly is the problem you just graded our service with out any specifics about the matter we are not perfect by any means but we address the problems or complaints right away, if we are at fault we are going to make it right period. How can any business can fix a problem or make it right if a customer does not give them the chance to owned it and make it right and instead goes online to write a review after two and a half months. Please send the confirmation email we sent to you to confirm your move as well as the copy of our contract to [email protected] so we can verify your are a customer of ours, because we could not find your information as we stated before and also please send the date and time you called us so we can look on our phone records, we record 100% of our calls, please identify yourself if you use a different name when you setup the appointment please let us know the name you used, because the name [member name removed] is not on our records or the address you put on your review. Please do this as soon as possible to address this matter if you are a real customer, thank you and have a great day."

My family has moved several times in the past 2.5 years, and we have used Metro Moving Company for every move. They are friendly, professional, fast, and they do a great job. The movers are always courteous and helpful, and the front office has always helped to make sure that the move is scheduled on the date that we request, even if we have not provide a lot of advance notice. I used Metro Moving when I moved from my apartment to my new home. I was a little overwhelmed, and I was still packing when they arrived. They were moving my things so quickly, I thought they would be finished before I was. Fortunately, that didn't happen, and when we arrived at my new home, they placed everything exactly where I wanted it. This was no small fete, because I hold on to everything, and they had to move me from a 2nd floor apartment to the 2nd floor in my new home. They were as friendly when they finished the job as when they started, and they made everything easier for me. I truly appreciate all they did.

Very prompt and professional. Martin and his team helped move me from my apartment and storage facilty to my new house. They were very knowledgeable on moving particular items that was fragile. They made sure everything was packed well and protected. The price was amazing. 20 minutes after the move, the manager followed up with a call to ensure we were happy. I'm extremely happy and please with the move. I will definitely use this company again and has recommended this to my friend who is moving in the next few months.

The service provided by the movers was outstanding. They arrived with in the timeframe I was given when I booked my move. Everything was explained to me before I signed my contract and they took me through a walk through of my items. They are not the 1st moving company I used but so far the best.
