We got a quote from Audi Dallas with a "discount" for $1,600. It also took them 4 days and $150 to diagnose the problem.  Wanting a second quote we looked on Yelp and Angie's List and tried out LOTR. Our first visit, Bob diagnosed the problem by running a full report (for free), spoke with us personally and went through our options all in about 30 minutes. He told us the problem was not compromising safety, so he reset the check engine and said if it comes back on, come back. Two weeks later the engine light came back on, and he did the repair in 3 days for $600 less than the dealer. We will definitely be returning for our Audi/VW repairs.

Awesome job on my car every time so it’s like half the price of the dealership and all the professionalism and I’ve never had any repairs that he has done on my car, I’ve never had anything go wrong with it, and so I really like Lord of the Rings.

He performed the work as he promised and delivered the car on time.  We appreciate how Bob is on top of the work required to keep this aging car in good shape.  He lets us know what needs to be done next and how mush it will cost.

Work was performed quickly and professionally. Did not have to go back for adjustments or any thing like that. Dropped the car off in the morning. Shop provided a ride home due to proximity of my house. Called when the repair was done later that morning and picked up my car.

It was excellent. Their knowledge of Volkswagen and Audi cars is impressive, they are quick and reliable, and they provide good customer service. I will definitely use them again.

Overall it went OK. This repair shop only works on audis and VWs. I went to him based on a recommendation from someone. It is a family-run business with 2-3 mechanics. The guy is easy to talk and explains everything in detail. The problem is that he twists the facts so that you end up using his services even when it is not absolutely essesntial - does not tell you the whole truth or only tells you part truth (e.g.2 examples - he told me that I needed new brake pads. He even showed me the wheel where the pad was really worn out. What he didn't show me was that it was only 1 wheel where there was a problem; at another time I had a dead battery and I asked him if I could change it myself. He gave me a big story on how complicated it is to change a battery and that all computer settings would be lost. The reality is that it is very easy for anyone to change a battery and nothing except the radio pre-set station memory is lost.) After this incident I have decided never to go back to him. And he costs about the same as any other repair shop so there is no incentive to go to him.

It's ten times better than other dealerships, across the board. It's cheaper, too.
