Simply put, it was good work, but I don't like how it was handled. I had originally submitted a request on their website and never heard back, so I followed up with a call. The person I spoke with apologized for not getting it and said that sometimes they receive the online requests, sometimes they don't. Anyways, I told them to come out there and give me an estimate for everything and mentioned a few specific items I wanted to make sure they included. I got the estimate the next day ($800) and it only included two items (from the list of items they performed for me, they left a number of things off). So I called them up the next day and mentioned all these other items they left off and they came back out to get me another estimate ($1,250). I thought for $1,250 ($450 more than the first) that it was a pretty good deal for everything that I needed done and I called them the next day and got them scheduled. The estimate is actually labeled as a "contract - proposal" and I was going to sign and scan in, but they told me that wasn't necessary. 

They came out on time and got everything cut and trimmed (with the exception of a few branches that were missed between the neighbor's house; not enough to raise a fuss about) and was quite happy with how everything looked. It was to my surprise, and this is where my displeasure comes from, when I later received an invoice for $2,050 plus tax.

I called up Tom Lindsey and explained that I was confused by the higher amount and he told me that it was two separate estimates and that I needed to add them together. The handwriting on the estimates are hard to read and it was never explained that they were two separate estimates (why they couldn't add the total from the other estimate and show a grand total on the new estimate is beyond me). I explained my confusion further and that I had tried to sign and was going to send the contract proposal for what I wanted done, and he said that they hardly ever receive those. So the one document that I was going to send in that showed just the $1,250 that would have cleared up this mess before it started, I was told not to by his Company. 

I'm not going to say that I still wouldn't have ended up going with them at the $2,050, but I would have gotten more than the two estimates that I had, andit would have been nice to know going in how much it was going to be and not surprised later. Tom could have taken a couple hundred off the total as compensation for the mix up, but I could tell from his tone that he didn't care and all he wanted was his money for this service, whether or not it jeopardized any future service.

Just make sure you know what you are agreeing to before telling them to come out.

Claudia in the office was very responsive, and Tom Lindsey came by within the hour after our call to assess the damage and provide a quote for service. The crew came by shortly after noon and took care of the limbs. They were very responsible, courteous, and professional, and handled it all safely.

They were recommended by a neighbor of mine. The only reason I used them was because my neighbor's tree branches were falling on my powerline, so they finally agreed to cut it down. On a subsequent job that I needed to do I liked them, they were professional and so forth, so I decided to go with them again and they trimmed a tree for me. The work I had done was relatively cheap and wasn't that much. They did a good job.

Everything was handled in a professional manner, on time, and cleaned up all debris.

Very prompt, professional and I will continue to use them.

Tom Lindsey was very responsive to our request for a quote.  Due to a recent storm that left many trees damaged, it was 2 weeks before the job could begin (totally reasonable).  The crew showed up on the scheduled date, right on time.  They worked efficiently, and finished well before the 4-5 hour estimate.  They cut down a 60 year old cottonwood tree (huge).  All branches were removed and chipped into mulch we are using for other projects.  We also requested they cut 4 large sections from the trunk for us to make chairs.  They gave us a bonus section--a perfect table with a smooth top.  They ground  out the stump, and cleaned up after they finished.  I highly recommend Lindsey's for professionalism, price, promptness and pride in their work.

I called for an estimate and Tom showed up when he said he would show up. I wanted to point out several things instead of just having them leave an estimate in my mailbox. The estimate was fair and again showed up when they said they would and did a wonderful job. The two sixty year old red oaks in my front yard were very overgrown and branches were so heavy they were bending and breaking. They did an outstanding job of making them look nice(not butchered at all). I was not home when they did all the work but according to my neighbors, they were on my roof to reach all the branches and just did a great job. They also removed 5 crepe myrtles that had been crepe murdered over the years. They were in terrible shape and had to go. They ground the stumps of all of them, and removed one other shrub that was half dead. They also removed a giant live oak that I loved dearly but it was too close to my fence and the power lines. They ground the stump on the live oak too. I would definitely use them again without hesitation.

All went well.  They removed the trees in the front and back yard and left no mess.  They also ground the stumps below ground level.  They were quick and efficient with the removal.  We late had them provide another quote on a limb removal for a tree crossing over our property line, but didn't engage Lindsey because our neighbor took care of the issue.  Should we need additional tree servicing done, we will call on Lindsey.

Mr. Lindsey was very timely on his quote and doing the work.  His staff answering the phones was always very courteous, friendly and helpful.   
The work was performed and trees and their stumps removed as quoted.  
They did knock out of place some landscaping bricks on several trees.  Also by the fence entrance to the back yard they had to removed some bricks to get their equipment into the yard and just left them in the grass.  
My main complaint about Mr. Lindsey was how he spoke to me over the phone.  I had understood that the crew would not be out to perform the work if it had rained the previous day.  I think what the staff member really had said that they would not perform work while it was raining.  During the quote, Mr. Lindsey was adamant that I clean the back yard from the dropping from my three dogs.  I agreed to clean the yard but with the misunderstanding of the date the work was going to be done the yard was not cleaned the day the crew arrived.  That day I got a phone call from Mr. Lindsey where he was extremely upset and let me know it by saying "I am not going to work in that sh*t . . . " and told me "Whatever" when I tried to explain him the mixup with the scheduling date.  
I can understand him being upset and it was my fault for not cleaning the yard and his staff's fault for not confirming the day before that the crew would be working the next day.  But to basically yell and berate me over the phone is unacceptable behavior and customer service.  
To his credit, he did reschedule to finish the job without any extra charges and the work was done in a timely manner.  

Our call for an estimate was promptly returned and the owner was out the following day to do the estimate.  We had a few other estimates done and the prices were all in the same ballpark.  Since we have used Lindsey before and had had a good experience, we decided to go with them again.
The crew showed up at the time promised and the owner was there to get them started.  The work was done without disruption and the owner showed up again during the day to see how things were going.  They cleaned up all debris and left the yard free of limbs and leaves.
I would not hesitate to use Lindsey again.

Called for an estimate - they left one in my mailbox the day after I called. No extra charges or surpasses; service was exactly as promised.
