The leather had ripped away from the lining in the back of the cushion and my dogs had torn up the padding in the seat. Also the back cushions had lost their shape because my dog likes to sit on the back and look out the window. I called Mr. Zapata on Thursday to give me an estimate. He came over that day and quoted me a very reasonable price of $450. He took it away that day and said it would take a week. On Saturday he called and said it was ready. It looks beautiful! You would never know it had been damaged. He is definitely my new go to man for leather repair

The repair was excellent. Mr. Zapata found a way to use a piece from the back of my chair that was not noticeable and repair the tear on the arm and sides. He then put a piece of leather that he had n his shop on the back. The repairs on the arm and the back are completely invisible and he saved me money and kept the chair all leather instead of substituting vinyl. I could put the recliner in the middle of the room and shine a light on it from all sides and you could not see the repairs. He picked the chair up on a Tuesday and delivered it back Friday morning. Amazing because I live in far southwest Fort Worth and his shop is in Dallas.

Item 1) The sofa cushion was reupholstered successfully. It looks and feels like a new sofa. I plan on taking two other sofa cushions for reupholstering. The sofa cushion reupholstering cost was $175. Item 2) The zipper was replaced and it looks like it always had been part if the vest. The cost for the zipper replacement was $55. Both items were dropped off on Tuesday evening with a $100 deposit and was told they'd be ready by the next Monday. I received a call on Saturday informing me the two items were ready for pickup.

Mr. Zapata figured out a way to do a large, challenging project and completed it more than a week ahead of schedule. Antique Jingle bells/sleigh bells -- about 24 of them in various stages of disrepair bought over time through E-bay. They're meant to be heirloom-type gifts to relatives and close friends -- an absolutely wonderful gift that would have been impossible if Mr. Zapata was not willing/able to take on the laborious task of reconditioning the straps that could be salvaged and transferring the majority to NEW straps. I started collecting the old sleighbells without a clear idea of whom I was going to find to restore them; Mr. Zapata positively made my Christmas, and hopefully the Christmas of all of the people that are going to receive them. The new belts and re-attached bells are sturdy and attractive, and should last 100 years, like the original straps did. He also makes things like boots and folding leather stools, as well as restores/repairs leather upholstery -- furniture as well as auto.
