Landmark Design fixed existing downlighting installed by a different company years ago, and added uplighting in our front and back. The effect of the lighting was beautiful. Michael Coggins, owner, is talented and honest. He takes pride in his ability to design a beautiful lighting result. My wife, who is very picky, was very pleased with the result. Their electrical partner on the high voltage downlighting (All Star Services - Manny) did a great job as well and I would hire him again for electrical work. Michael works to make his customers happy and came through with a great result at a fair price, which is the bottom line. The only improvement areas I shared with Michael were the following: 1) his responsiveness – emails and phone calls should be returned in at least 1-2 days without exception, and 2) his operations crew did not always bury the line 6” to the promised 6” depth, and 3) the operations crew and the electrician crew both left small pieces of trash (e.g., old wires, plastic, etc.) in the yard around their work, which I had to pick up each day (only reason I gave a B on professionalism). These are frankly minor in the grand scheme of things, but important correction/improvement needs in my opinion. All are very easy to fix. I would definitely hire Michael and Landmark again, if I had the upfront understanding they would clean the jobsite before leaving each day and the responsiveness was going to be better. Again, simple to fix. Michael just needs to demand this of his crew and operational supervisor. I have had several neighbors compliment the lighting work as they have walked by our house. One couple was so impressed, they even asked Michael for a card the night we were doing his final walkthrough in the front yard. I think the lighting design work he did in the backyard was spectacular.
