Scott promised a 90 day completion. It remains unfinished after 1 year. We were soon asked to pay 150% of the weekly agreed amount "because we are ahead of schedule." Problems then arose related to supplies not available & confusion with the plans. Weeks passed w/o work. Calls to Scott were mostly unreturned. He promised improvement & made excuses for the lack of progress. The person identified as the supervisor was physically unable to climb the stairs to see the work. Subcontractors drank on the job. Much of the work is sub-standard & requires correction. Scott was not registered w/the Tx Residential Construction Comm as was implied. We filed a complaint w/this commission & the sup confronted us for filing this complaint. A subcontractor remains unpaid & put a lien on the house. The job was abandoned, still lacking flooring. We paid 97% of the agreed amt & have hired a lawyer to re-coup money paid out.
Description of Work: Company was hired to do a 2nd floor room addition, a sunroom & flooring downstairs. The price of $76,000 seemed fair for the agreed work.
