Description of Work: Kim designed and renovated the master en-suite bathroom and guest bathroom in our 1920's Tudor-style home. She listened extremely well to the wants/needs of my husband and I during a comprehensive up-front interview. She created three design ideas--all creative and several with innovative components we had never envisioned after 12 years of living in the house and dreaming of change. She detailed the selected design and hired contractors to complete a down-to-the-studs renovation of the space. She made all design selections and managed the work of several subcontractors. Design included marble tile and countertops, custom cabinetry, frameless glass, and lots of old-style charm with modern amenities.

+ 2 moreThe whole experience with Kim was more than I could have asked for. On her first visit to my home, she explained the process of how the interior design business works and asked me all the right questions. By the end of the first meeting, we already had a clear direction of where the project was headed. She was always prompt in responding, and extremely innovative and creative. My husband and I had a vision of what we wanted before we hired Kim, and she kept consistent with that vision, but made it 100% better. She showed my husband and me ways to manipulate our kitchen and bathroom spaces that we never would have thought of. The best thing about her was that she would never settle on something that just worked, she always found the best options for everything. You can tell she loves what she does and really cares about her client's wants and needs.
Description of Work: Kim redesigned my kitchen and half bath. My kitchen prior to Kim designing it, was small and non-functional. It had a tiny cook top and very little cabinet space, but is now open, spacious, and more than I could have asked for. The finishes she chose were choices I never would have thought of, and, despite the small space allotted to her, she found a way to create double the cabinet and counter space and even incorporated double ovens. We rarely eat in our dining room anymore because our eat-in kitchen is so amazing and roomy. Before Kim redesigned our half bath, it was dark and a bit dated. We asked her to update the space and make it acceptable for guests. By changing paint colors, the flooring, and the sink/vanity, she was able to create an amazing little bathroom. It's more than acceptable, it could have come out of a magazine.
