Kastro Services

Brenno Castro of Kastro Services was recommended by our contractor to refinish our kitchen table. His estimate stated it would be 5 days to complete. After we paid a 50% deposit, Brenno collected the table and brought it to his garage. Immediately communication became sporadic to non-existent. I begged Brenno on multiple occasions to return the table so I could find someone else, but he no showed each time. Benno said the work was complete. After day 20, Brenno finally gave us his address and I used Taskrabbit to retrieve my table. When it arrived, I was HORRIFIED. It looks NOTHING like the finish we chose. He did not even use a paint stripper to remove the old stain, just sanded the heck out of the table (still missing spots of old paint). He DAMAGED the table and there are pieces of wood missing from the table base due to careless handling and sloppy work. It looks like a tan zebra instead of the requested dark brown/gray finish. We have to start from scratch with a professional.

I hired Renno Kastro to reface my cabinets, I saw that he had great reviews and he sounded like a proffesional. I gave him a deposit on Dec 12th 2024 of $5250. It is now Feb 7 2024 and has yet to do anything. He has now blocked my number. He has clearly scammed me and I see that he has changed company names serveral times. I have invoices, text messages and documents to to support everything I am saying. If anyone needs them or wants to see the proof just ask. I am obviously taking the legal route to get my money back and hopfully prevent anyone else from getting scammed. I have a feeling that all of these other reviews are false as its clear he never intended to actually complete this job from the beginning.

Brenno Kastro did an excellent job of painting my cabinet doors and drawers. They look brand new. I highly recommend Kastro Services.
