We don't use independent sub-contracted laborers to install your windows. Our installation department is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable in the industry, fully trained to expertly install our window systems into almost any opening. WOW, what an incredible difference having great new Thermal Windows from J&M Glass Company installed in our home has made to its look and energy efficiency!
When we purchased our current home, it still had the 51 original 32 year old bronze colored aluminum windows. Of the 51 windows, 8 were large panel atrium windows 4 of which matched the roofline, which is now the ?wow factor? of our home. Where other companies were not willing or capable of manufacturing or replacing the atrium, J&M was. They manufactured all of our custom vinyl thermal replacement windows and all new atrium window aluminum framing to match.
Our experience with J&M Glass was outstanding from start to finish! Throughout the process from ordering, scheduling and installation they did a great job communicating with us. Martin, the company owner even took the time to be onsite during installation to ensure we were happy and everything went smoothly.
I can?t begin to describe the visual impact these windows have made to our home. It is truly amazing! Honestly, we can?t stop looking at them and admiring the change they?ve made. In addition, we?ve already seen a 40% reduction in our daily electric consumption! were competitive. I decided on J&M Glass Company primarily,
because it is a family owned company that provides both manufacturing
and sales. Because this company has been in business since 1992,
this combination provided me confidence that they would stand behind
their product and its installation.
The work began with the removal of all the blinds, and the installation
was completed in two days by Rubin and Jose, who worked quickly and
professionally with minimum down time. They did an excellent job of
installing the patio doors and sliding window. They finished by
replacing the blinds and cleaning up both inside and outside and, for
these activities, it looked as if they had never been there.
All transactions with J&M Glass Company were done professionally.

The details:
This is a small company in Dallas that purchases components and makes the windows in their factory. We initially scheduled to get a bid, and their salesman, Michael Shelby, came to our home, and gave us information about their company and what they could do. We then decided to visit their showroom when we had additional questions, and they took us into the plant and showed us the operation, including how the windows are glazed and all the construction particulars. There had a display of windows in their showroom, and we looked over the various kinds before making our decision.
We had already received two prior bids from other companies, and the bid that was given to us by J&M was lower than both of those bids. We wanted the "Duo Tone" vinyl windows. Another company had quoted something like an additional $4k to do those; however, J&M was very reasonable for that upgrade. Also, in order to cut corners and lower the price, another company had told us we didn't need tempered glass in some areas where code requires tempered glass; so, be careful to know the code for where tempered glass is required. Tempered glass is expensive, but J&M was reasonable with the cost of that as well. Outside of this, one of the main reasons we went with J&M was that they could customize the windows pretty much any way we wanted them, and we changed some of the configurations of our windows. One of the other companies could not make custom windows to fit the "eyebrow" windows in the front of our house, and J&M accommodated.
We had to wait about 6 weeks to have the windows installed. The installers, Omar & Carlos, did an excellent, meticulous job. That included cleanup and covering of carpeted areas and nearby furniture. They also pulled the wires for the security system into the new windows, and we contacted our alarm company to finish re-activation of the system. The crew had been with the company for more than 10 years, and quietly did their work to the point you hardly knew they were there.
You should know - This company does not do pressure sales, and they have a somewhat laid back attitude. They won't pester you, so if you have questions, you have to e-mail or contact them. They sent a 2 man crew to install the windows, and they'll do about 6 windows or so per day. Our installation took 4 days. I'm not sure if they would double that up if you're in a bigger hurry to get the job done. They take their time and do it right. Needless to say, we're very happy with the work they performed.
