Jackson Armory is a storefront purveyor of vintage and antique weapons and related historical artifacts. For a $50 fee they also will act as a licensed receiver of vintage firearms in behalf of customers who purchase such items on the internet. I have made purchases from their excellent inventory and also have used their services as a receiving agent on two occasions. Their staff is knowledgeable, pleasant and efficient, and I would recommend them without reservation. They also offer specialized gunsmith services which I have not yet used.
Description of Work: Federal Firearms Dealer who facilitated receipts of internet purchases of vintage weapons.

Decided to visit store on Dec 31st, 2013 while we were visiting family in Dallas area.Wife phoned the seller to verify that they were going to be open their normal business hours this day (since it was New's Years Eve). Received assurance that "We'll be here all day". My wife and I arrived at the business at 3:00 pm and were "buzzed in" to the store. There were two gentlemen in the business and immediately upon entering the store one of the men declared "We're closed". My wife protested that we had called ahead to assure that they would indeed be open and available and the gentleman as well as called my wife a liar when stating that she could not have talked to anyone on the phone that would have given us erroneous information. It was about here that it became a little heated and I stated "we'll just leave then". To his credit, the second gentleman asked what we wanted to look at.I stated that I had come to purchase an antique bowie knife listed for sale on their web site. The man informed me "we already sold that knife and shipped it out this morning". I am an avid collector of antique bowie knives and expend roughly $60,000 a year improving and updating my collection and I have NEVER been treated so causticly and rudely. I will never even consider purchasing an item from this establishment and will make sure all of my collecting buddies are aware of what happened this day.
Description of Work: Seller had an antique bowie knife listed on his web site that I was interested in buying at $5000.Decided to visit the seller's store to evaluate the knife and purchase the knife if knife was as described on web site.
