Nick was at our house for a different problem and noticed the hot water heater leaking.  He drained the remaining water, came back the next morning and replaced the hot water heater.

It went very well.  The Hunter Plumbing reprsentatives were knowledgeable, worked efficiently and professionally, and were extremely helpful in speedily mitigating what could have been a very unpleasant situation.

I got Nick's information from a neighbor when I realized that my leaky kitchen faucet wasn't just leaking above and into the sink, but was actually dripping down into the cabinet beneath it and doing some major damage. (Note to self: Don't cram so many cleaning products into the cabinet that you can't actually see when the floor of the cabinet has given way and sagged several inches.) Because I had replaced the cleaning products with a bucket, the leak wasn't an emergency and Nick said he'd be out the next day around noon. Based on my description of the leak, he suggested that I go to Home Depot or Lowe's and buy a replacement faucet - even though mine was only 3-4 years old - just in case the existing faucet was unrepairable. This was great advice because it would save time if a replacement was actually needed, and I could always return it if it was not needed.

Nick called the next day shortly before coming over. When he arrived, he greeted my Chocolate Lab in the proper way: With a quiet calm, and letting her sniff him. He said he has a Chocolate Lab of his own, a big bruiser named Luke. [I'll admit to a personal bias here: I always favor animal lovers over those folks who wrinkle their noses and stiffen when in the presence of a friendly dog or cat. I recently disqualified a ceramic tile installer when, upon learning that I have six cats and one dog, she said in a condescending manner, "Wellll. . . you certainly have your hands full."]

I showed Nick the leaky faucet and also mentioned that the separate-but-connected sprayer had quit working properly a few days after the faucet assembly had been installed (by another company) a few years ago. A few minutes later he had the faucet disassembled and showed me the parts that needed to be replaced, including the diverter which was busted into several pieces and which was the reason that the side sprayer hadn't work. He left to go pick up the replacement parts and was back in no time at all.

After reassembling everything, Nick had me take the faucet and the sprayer for a test drive. It all worked fine, but the swivel movement of the faucet was stiffer than before. Nick explained that the "O" rings in the assembly should fit tight and that one symptom of my previous leak was how easily the faucet moved left-to-right. He also said there was a good chance that the "O" rings would shrink/degrade in the next 9-15 months and thus I could have another leak; but if I do, he would walk me through what he does to fix it so that I can fix it on my own in the future. [How many plumbers offer to do *that*???]

Lastly, Nick gave me a recommendation for someone who can fix the damage done to the cabinet under the kitchen sink; and he also is going to let me pick a puppy from a very-near-future litter sired by his monstrous, and very smart, Luke.

All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better plumber experience!

Subfreezing weather - plumbers all over town were busy. We called several and had decided to go with whoever called us back first. Hunting Plumbing office returned our call same day, scheduled an appointment for first thing next morning. Arrived within the narrow window they have given us, worked very efficiently, wrapped it up within an hour, billed us & took payment efficiently, and out the door. Very professional and efficient while also personable without wasting any of our time. We will definitely call them back.

We tried to unstop the kitchen sink but it wouldn't work. We called Hunter Plumbing and was able to get an appointment right away. They came and used a snake all the way to the street to be sure they unstopped the sink and toilet. It worked great after that.

Mike showed up exactly on time after the office called to give me a heads up of approximate time of arrival, and Mike's call when a few minutes away. Mike had to deconstruct the old toilet flange and remove it from the floor. He installed a new one, attached it to the floor with concrete fasteners, reseated the toilet and anchored it down tightly to the floor. He then took apart the tank and replaced the workings inside, and replaced the seal/gasket between tank and toilet.

We liked Nick and his work so well that we have hired him for our home as well. Nick's work is great and so are his prices.

We had a "shade tree" remodeling company replace the drain lines initially. When we called for an inspection it failed miserably. We then called in four plumbing companies for advice and bids. Nick from Hunter Plumbing was not the cheapest, but he appeared to be the most honest and professional. His quote was staged based on receipt of green tags from the City of Dallas. We accepted his bid, and he came right in and removed all of the work that had been installed wrong and put it in right. He was always available for advice and frequently called to make sure we were happy. He worked around our schedule so we could meet with him to review the work. When we were looking for sub contractors to do various parts of the work, he referred us to several people that we got bids from and eventually ended up using for shower glass, tile work, etc. I will try to temper our enthusiasm for Nick so that it doesn't sound too good, but, to put it very mildly, Nick was our saving grace on this remodel. Plumbers seem to be mostly flakes, but of all of the sub contractors we used he was the most honest and professional, always on time and with very few corrections needed. I would recommend Hunter Plumbing without hesitation.

We had someone else who came and caused some problems, Nick re-did everything. He was extremely professional, really knows his work well. He is easy to deal with, prices were great compared to the others that we had received. Especially with the mess the other company left. Some others wouldn't even touch the job.

I contacted them via e-mail to set the appointment. The technician was helpful, professional, and went out of his way to find the parts we needed for our vintage fixtures. He gave me an estimate and came back the next day to complete the job in it's entirety. I was very satisfied and would use them again.

The actual hot water heater work was completed & appears to have been well done. The technician was very friendly & informative about the work regarding the hot water heater replacement. Before he left, I also asked him for an estimate for repairing the cold water bar faucet, which required a little extra force to shut off. He looked at it & took some faucet part out to his truck, which I presumed was for a new washer. He came back in ten minutes saying he had rebuilt the part & installed it within a couple of minutes without giving me an estimate beforehand. I was surprised when he said that the charge was an extra $40.00, but even more surprised & disappointed when I tried the faucet minutes after he left & found it was now leaking at the base of the faucet & more difficult than ever to turn off. In fact, the handle would spin completely around past the shut-off point. I immediately called him before he could get very far away to come back, but he said he had another job & would have to have his supervisor reschedule for him to return, which would probably be late that day or the next day. It has been 20 days & no one has ever called back. Another disappointment, was when the inspector came out two days later to check on the installation of the hot water heater. He informed me, that we should not have been charged $125.00 for a "PERMIT & INSPECTION", as was written on our receipt. He said that a permit only costs $50.00 & we could have gotten that ourselves from the city had we been informed. He also said that the city DOES NOT CHARGE at all for the inspection & that we had been over-charged $75.00. I immediately called Hunter Plumbing to inquire about this & was told that $125.00 was their charge & that was final. They were not willing to make a refund. I then suggested that they should inform clients that they have the option of getting work permits on their own in order to save that extra charge & was told that she would suggest this at the next board meeting. I ask that the reader of this report to please keep in mind, that we were very satisfied with the actual work done in regards to the hot water heater, & that I regret having to give a negative review of the smaller faucet job that was badly done & never ratified, as well as what I believe was an unethical charge for the inspection. If not for these issues, I could have given this company an "A" rating. I feel frustrated and disappointed, as I believe that this plumbing company ordinarily does very good work & I would like to feel comfortable in using their services in the future.

We called and they asked about what was wrong with our toilet so they could be prepared, they arranged around my wife's schedule to meet us at the house, and offered a lower cost way to deal with the issue. This is just a great company with great representatives/plumbers who are focused on doing what's right for us at a very fair price.
