Horchow

There were no dimensions in the catalog about how large the fan was, nor how low it hung from the ceiling.  Even my electrician and decorator had no way of telling until they took it out of the box and held it up to the ceiling.  It was too low and I sent it back with a followup phone call to the return dept.  The person there said they had not received the merchandise but they were about 10 days behind.  
      A few days later, the fan came back to me, stating they could not return it because it was USED!!!  400.00 fan!!  It was still packed perfectly in the original box with all the original parts in the original packages.  The only thing we did was take the fan out and hold it up to the ceiling.  I am so angry and disappointed and feel totally taken advantage of.  
     Needless to say,  I will from now on ALWAYS shop locally and NEVER AGAIN look at another Horchows site or catalog.
    And I encourage anyone who reads this to do the same, unless you are SURE that the items will never be returned.

Horchow is the Home catalog for Neiman Marcus. You expect good quality AND service but don't let the name fool you. You DO NOT get what you pay for with this company. I purchased outdoor items in the summer that fell apart over the winter and they refused to anything about it. The outdoor planters cracked and the chimenea rusted out. It's pretty sad when you pay top dollar for an item and it doesn't last even a year.
