We found them on the internet and called and had a gentleman come to our house to estimate a price for the house. They agreed to put up our lights and we were pleased with the price of $550. The gentleman said the install would be Thursday or Friday of the next week and that we would receive a call on Monday to tell us exactly when. I gave him a check for half. We have a holiday party this coming Saturday, so timing was important to us. On Monday morning I received a phone call from the owner with my install time as promised, and it turns out the lights won't be installed for another week, after my holiday party, not as promised. I explained that wasn't what I was told by the salesman and that I really need these lights up this week. His response was "the salesman doesn't make the schedule, I do." My response was that my end of the deal was contingent upon timing and that if he can't do it by the end of the week I'll have to find someone else. He responded that the agent had no authority to make that kind of promise and I began to explain agency law and apparent authority and once a lawyer starts speaking little progress is ever made. He called me back five minutes later and starts off by saying "I called the salesman and he said he didn't tell you that". So far he has not only not met our expectations he's now calling me a liar. I wasn't happy at this point and I think I had made that fairly clear, in his defense he was trying to find a way to get the lights done by Saturday night, but my experience with this owner was so unpleasant that I didn't want to do business with him and I never will. I asked him to tear up my check and he responded that he didn't want my business anyway. I have since found a company that will do my lights for the same price and can do them before Saturday.
