Hard drive great- PC goes really fast now. They do not support OneDrive so could not help me with that. Very professional and knowledgeable otherwise, and very responsive and time-sensitive.

Half Price Geeks spent 3.5 hours removing the virus but charged the flat rate virus removal fee of $129. My technician did the work remotely by connecting our computers. He was very knowledgeable and professional. In addition to solving our problem, he was very helpful about giving advice to prevent it in the future. I have used them before and would definitely use them again for computer issues.

I originally scheduled for Monday the 9th, however they called a couple of hours before scheduled and said they were running late. Then followed up with another call saying they wouldn't be able to make it. We rescheduled for Thursday the 12th. Everything went as expected the second time around. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've used them over the past 5 years or so and the service has always been great and this is the first time I had any scheduling issues.

All went well and I would use this service again. However, they do not state in their ad on Angie's list that they charge extra for travel time. Therefore with the charges for travel time and the extra one-quarter hour I had to pay an additional $52.00 over the initial charge for their special rate of $69.00 for one hour of on site repair. Therefore, the actual cost for one hour on site plus travel time and an extra quarter hour was $121.00. I feel they need to be up front in the advertisement that there will be extra charges for travel time as when the initial charges are paid at the time of scheduling on Angie's list your charges billed to your charge card are just the advertised rate of $69 per hour. Then you are not informed about the additional charges until they call you to schedule your appointment. Overall I would give them a B rating.

I would highly recommend Half Price Geeks to anyone. Infact, 5 years ago a friend suggested I give them a call. I have now been using Half Price Geeks for 5 years for all of my technology challenges, questions and system upgrades.
They show up when they are suppose to show up. They are curtious and trustworthy, they are clean and do not make a mess in your home. They explain everything they are doing in simple terms, they are thorough and their pricing is very reasonable. Also, they will work with you on scheduling. That is, they will come to your home before work, after work and also on Saturdays. I plan on continuing to utilize their services and suggest you try them as well.

First, I was told that the service would happen on Friday at 4:00, and it did not. When I called on Friday at 4:22, there was a message that all lines were busy. I got the tech call on Monday morning, and although he apologized, this was not professional. Of all people, tech people should know how to send an email or text when they are delayed. Second, the website clearly posted price for a tune-up at an hourly cost of approximately $55. After the work was done, I was told that the flat fee for virus removal was $129. I had not requested virus removal, nor was the additional charge mentioned when I approved the technician's removing viruses, which he said were the cause for the slow system. I felt I was in a bind because my computer was in better shape, and he was a helpful and personable tech expert, but it felt a bit like a bait and switch. They do good work, but next time, I will get better definitions of the pricing before I commit to using their services.

There were conflicting virus protection programs running but the tech could not get rid of one which slowed down the system. The tech did manage to make my system somewhat faster .

The tech spent several hours onsite at no charge to you as a warranty and did the following: Backed up user data and manually reinstalled Windows ran misc. updates Downloaded and installed the misc. Dell drivers Installed Office Imported the data back to the system Configured the wireless software Installed Itunes Upon our second follow up call with you everything was working as it should. We can't make everybody happy, but we try. I believe that we went above and beyond to resolve your issues."

Overall the project went very well. The technician came to my home to analyze my computer problems. I needed a new monitor and I needed my computer to load faster. He took care of the problems very quickly and he was professional. I will use this service again and refer to my friends.

I unboxed my computer after a move and it would not power on. I called Best Buy and was quoted $299.00 for them to come out to the house. I called Half Price Geeks and they were able to come out the same day..and get this my total bill was $99.95! If I would have went with the other company I would have been out of 200 bucks! My technician fixed the problem in about 20 mins. After fixing my desktop he connected my new Mac and showed me how to use it. I wouldn't think of using another company! I'm glad I found these guys.
