We have been using Guardian Pool for many years to help maintain our pool. When we moved into a new house the pool was old and in rough shape. With Pete's help, we were able to get the chemical balance of the pool under control. The pool is now crystal clear year long. Pete can also do equipement repair. He has cleaned and replaced parts in my DE filter and when water was found to be leaking from my pump, instead of selling me on a new pump which I'm sure would have netted him more profit, he said the pump was in good shape and only needed a seal replacement. I trust and value his opinion and know he is looking out for my best interest and not just a quick buck.

I have been doing business with Guardian Pool Chemical for about 7 years
and could not be happier with the service. They have always been very
responsive to any request I had and provided advice about my pool to
save me money in repairs. I would highly recommend this company to
anyone in the servicing area. Great service, but more so, great
people!!

although my pool was always sparkling clear, there was often a chemical odor. we used them for about a year when we started having major pool equipment problems. both contractors that we had come out to repair the equipment said that the problems with our equipment were most likely caused by SERIOUSLY WAY OFF chemicals for a long period of time. one also asked if we had had polaris pool sweeper problems, to which we replied, yes. he said that this was another indicator that our pool chemicals had been seriously mishandled for a seriously long time. sure enough, upon testing, the pool ph was way way way off, despite the water being clear. this cost us $2500 to repair the equipment. since repairing this equipment and hiring a new pool service, we have never had another problem with our equipment. RUN AWAY FROM GUARDIAN. you don't want to risk your expensive pool equipment.
Response from GUARDIAN POOL CHEMICAL
"The pool was always sparkling the way the customer stated because the water was balanced. If the pH of the pool water was "way off" (which would be the only way it could potentially cause damage to pool equipment) then of more significance is any human swimming in the pool would have suffered severe injury to eyes and skin. The pH of the pool was not "off" as stated in this review. We have tackled this issue many times before with other pool companies and pool stores. The error occurs when pool companies and pool stores do not use CHLORINE NEUTRALIZER to measure the pH of the pool water. It is even more skewed when test strips are used. We use The Chlorine Institute's recommended levels of chlorination. This chlorine level, which is slighly higher than levels kept by most pool companies, leads to the "bleaching" out of the pH reading. In order to test the pH in a sufficiently sanitized pool, chlorine neutralizer is necessary to insure the correct pH reading. If chlorine levels are not maintained at those recommended by the Chlorine Institute then chlorine neutralizer is not necessary. Most pool service companies do not keep their chlorines levels at this range which leads to the confusion in proper testing. If the water was not balanced, the water would have been a haven for bacteria and algae. This was never the case with this pool. The chlorine odor is the result of the chlorine reacting with contaminants in the water. The main cause of this odor is lack of or inadequate filtration. The smell is actually chloramines. The Chlorine Institutes recommendation for the elimination of "chlorine smell" is the addition of more chlorine (or superchlorintation) and adequate filtration. Our recommendation is always to run the pump a full 24 hours continuously thus filtering out the contaminants. It is unfortunate that most pool service companies and pool stores do not know how to properly test water which is satinized at the levels recommended by the Chlorine Institute. Especially when they use these incorrect results to blame equipment issues on others. Since our inception in 2001 we have never had to file a claim due to damage to any pool equipment. There are over 10,000 pools serviced weekly using this same system of chlorination."

They don't know that the chlorine chemical that they use eats up your pool liner and equipment. It certainly did mine and I would not use them again because of the chemical they used. The water however was crystal clear, but putting chemicals in pools is the only type of job that they do. They don t clean the leaves out or do any other type of maintenance. To me that is not what people are used to. I had a monthly service with them.
Response from GUARDIAN POOL CHEMICAL
"Guardian Pool Chemical provides weekly chemical service for residential swimming pools. It sounds as if this customer was looking for a full service swimming pool service to clean the pool on a weekly basis. This is not our niche. Our technicians test the water weekly and add chemicals to balance and sanitize the pool. The chemicals we use (i.e. chlorine) are standard pool chemicals."
