We recently purchased a new, 15 month old house with a large marble kitchen island that the previous homeowners had unfortunately really messed up. After interviewing 3 companies, we hired Groutsmith as Kurtis did an excellent job describing what they could (and could not) do, how to take care of the marble, and how well they were going to tape off our entire kitchen to make sure they didn't leave a mess. (The other 2 companies were just as expensive, but weren't as knowledgeable and did not plan to take much precaution in keeping our house clean). We had to wait about 6 weeks for the work, but it was worth the wait. James came last week and did an excellent job. It took all day, but he was able to get out all of the extensive etching and most of the rest of the surface damage. Our marble finally looks beautiful! He spent a lot of time taping off our house, and cleaning up afterwards. And he also spent a fair amount of time educating us on how to take care of the marble going forward. I don't normally write reviews, but I would hire them again and recommend Groutsmith to anyone.

Groutsmith was super to work with. Scheduling the estimate was easy, everything was explained and it was very thorough. They were able to work with my schedule and gave me all the info I needed to prepare for the appointment. James came out to do the work and was fantastic. They asked to change the arrival times on both days, which was no problem for me, and they were very respectful of calling in advance and making sure it was OK. James was very professional and did a great job. I had mold in the shower and the grout was very discolored throughout the master bath. Everything got cleaned and sealed and looks like new again. I couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend Groutsmith Dallas and would hire them again.

James and Dalton did a great job on my bathroom countertops. They were punctual, professional and got the job done in the amount of time that I was told. The countertops look like new again. Kendra in the office was helpful with all of the scheduling. It was a little pricey, but we could not have done it ourselves.

This Groutsmith team was professional, conscientious and accommodating from the first phone call, to the completed project. Kendra went beyond the call of duty to match our schedule with theirs, and wanted to make sure that we were pleased...we were! Kurt made sure we had an understanding of the task ahead, and was present, not only initially, but throughout the process.James did a wonderful job of restoring our shower, painstakingly and thoroughly. We look forward to using our bathroom again in five days- they are very emphatic about making sure that the space had no moisture prior to the work and upon completion- when some wetness still lingered Kurt and James would not move forward until the issue was resolved. Although the project was delayed a bit, we appreciated their honest assessment of when it was safe to proceed. Customer service is their priority; I’m happy we chose Groutsmith.

Great company to work with. Kendra took care of us setting up an appointment for an estimate with Curtis who explained what needed to be done and James performed the actual work which looks amazing. We are very pleased with the job and felt everyone was very considerate and personable.

Our job was a bit extensive so scheduled with day 1 and a week later day 2 to allow for adequate drying. From start to finish quality work with every step of the way explained. Joseph Sepin (Day 1) and Kurtis Gare (Day 2) were thorough and meticulous with time spent, color matching and overall attention to detail...especially my Master Bathroom. Groutsmith first made appointment to give an estimate and then a scheduled repair was in a few weeks. Cracked grout was removed and replaced with nonsanded grout. The remaining areas were cleaned and made white again. The area was cleaned up and the whole process took 2 hours or less. Pleased with the whole process.

Both showers look brand new! From the quoting stage through scheduling and the work itself, everyone at The Groutsmith did a great job. Our technician, James, did excellent work, was very thorough and walked us through how to best maintain our investment. I would highly recommend them and will probably use them again in the future.

These guys came out and gave us an honest assessment of the situation and made recommendations. We wound up having Groutsmith remove the old, cracked grout that was in the corners and base of the shower and replace it with their polyurethane caulk. They also sealed the rest of the grout and used a color that would match everything together. Our shower no longer leaks and it looks great! These guys were awesome.

We had 2 different visits planned and a third unexpected visit needed. They called to remind us not to use the showers ahead of time to ensure they were dry. Their technicians showed up early all 3 times and completed the work in less time than quoted. The office staff was excellent about explaining details about our quote and bill and scheduling our 3rd unexpected appointment. They worked with us to schedule our services so that we would have a useable shower the entire time. You have to be out of the shower for about a week total, 2 days ahead of time and 5 days after. We would definitely use them again.

I waited over a month to write this review so that i could give a good opinion on the services that were performed. The Groutsmith has excellent customer service, Kendra is personable and easy to talk to and helped me setup my initial quote and demo. The dates and times were setup and Brandon and Andrew came and did a wonderful job on the entire house. They were timely, professional, made sure that i was satisfied with what they were doing before they carried on to complete all the work. I had some issues with the initial grout sealant color, but Brandon was patient and also ran out to get the color that i wanted (changed my mind from what i chose). The guys did a fantastic job and were clean and cleaned up after themselves, they moved furniture and put it back and they did this all timely so that i could still enjoy the rest of my day. It is now over a month later and the floors and showers still look great and the whole house looks refreshed. Thank you!

I have not shared my experience before now because I prefer the test of time before I refer. I am so happy with what Groutsmith did (It is a franchise). James cleaned and repaired grout and caulked corners in my shower. He used a special color sealer that is really amazing. (This is not like your standard "big box store" sealer.) This may sound strange, but I have used no commercial cleanser on the shower for 5 months and it still looks great. All grout looks the same with no discolorations. We did switch to liquid soap (you can find Dial, Irish Spring and other anti-bacterials) as we were told the bar soap leaves residue. They did not give warranty on the shower but I remember them saying they do warranty on floors. I did compare prices and paid them more because their bid included cleaning and sealing the whole shower, not just the doing repairs. Just the repair work cost was comparable to the other bids for same. I rated cost excellent because in this experience I found that "You get what you pay for".
This repair work was a follow-up to a shower replacement special "deal" which had deteriorated after 1 year. Lesson learned: Shower wall corners and floor corners should be caulked and joints not too wide (research that).

The sealer looks amazing - comes with a 10 year warranty.
The crew was on-time, finished a little sooner than projected and was extremely courteous and professional throughout. There was a small oversight in the shower they caught when they did a walk through with us of all the completed work. We enjoyed that they took the time to inform us and educate us along the way - it was refreshing to see someone so passionate about their work in a service industry!
We have since gladly referred several neighbors and acquaintances to the Groutsmith without hesitation.

They performed perfectly. They kept in touch with me to make sure I was informed of any time issues. They showed up when expected and did exactly what they proposed. The grout was beautiful white again on the bathroom floors. The kitchen and bathroom marble counter tops were polished and sealed nicely. They look great, even after 15 years. They replaced kitchen counter seal and it looked brand new. I highly recommend this company for any grout and sealing needs. They were professional, efficient, reasonable and well worth the time and money.

I am so impressed with this group of people at this company. I contacted them through Angies List and they responded almost immediately. The gentleman that came to give me the estimate explained in detail what could be done to improve my floors and even demonstrated on a small area what they would do. I believe for that they had to accomplish, the price was beyond reasonable. The crew arrived on time and worked very diligently. The 2 gentlemen were kind, respectful and very competent. I am so very pleased with the outcome. My floors look better than new. All the staff from the gentleman giving the estimate, to the tradesmen, to the young lady on the phone were professional, responsive, but above all their customer service was more than I have ever experienced.
