Green Scene Home Inspections

Our experience with Green Scene Home Inspections was extremely concerning. The company?s owner came to our home after a major appliance listed in their report was called into question. During that visit, he made unprompted remarks about my personal life that had nothing to do with the inspection. When I told him that his behavior felt intimidating, he responded that he had researched me on the ?deep dark web.? We then asked that our interactions remain strictly professional and limited to inspection-related matters, but he declined to agree to that boundary. The encounter left us feeling unsafe and deeply uncomfortable. We have since filed a formal complaint with the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) regarding this incident. It is our personal recommendation to stay very far from this company. Homeowners deserve respect, professionalism, and basic privacy when inviting someone into their home.

Marcus was very thorough with the details of inspection. He spoke to us about the findings while showing a video of the areas. He arrived early, was very courteous and professional. Would definitely use their company again when needed.

I had a great experience with Green Scene.  I was extremely happy with the very detailed and thorough report and the very numerous pictures/video provided to me at the completion of the report.  Calvin and his team were extremely professional and did a fantastic job.  In addition to doing the inspection and the review, Calvin personally walked us through some of the more major points of the inspection to give us a first hand look at the details that the report was going to point out.  During the overall review they took all the time necessary to answer my questions about findings and did not move on until I was satisfied and understood the findings that I was confused about.  The team was fantastic and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is needing a home inspection!  They also have the added bonus of home pest referral, pool school/service referral, and utility hook up service added in as part of the package.  I'm extremely pleased and couldn't be happier.  Buying a home is a stressful process, and they certainly made me feel more confident in the home that we chose!

I loved Green Scene Home Inspections. They spent hours inspecting my small condo; they were available immediately when I needed them but flexible with my schedule; they walked me through every single thing they saw, both good and bad; and they recorded the session so I could reference it later if I needed it. Everything they did was to 1) make sure I understood everything about the existing condo and 2) help me go forward with my purchase with every possible piece of information and help they could provide, like next steps on how to address the issues that came up in the inspection. As a first time buyer, that was extremely helpful to me. I'll definitely use them again on any property purchase in the future.

As both a buyer and a seller, this was the best home inspection service I've experienced.  I really feel like I was able to understand the home's needs before the purchase, including the necessary and future maintenance items.  Also, Clayton Bailey was very professional and knowledgeable.  I felt like he really grasped the importance of giving both the buyer and the seller the overall health of the home.  He covered all the details, big to small.  

The video inspection is well worth the cost.  With the video service, I was able to show my wife the inspection instead of just trying to relay it through my own words.  This is very helpful when one person can't attend the inspection or for sharing with the sellers.  

The infrared service allowed me to see the home's areas of energy loss with my own eyes.  The images will be helpful when I choose to address these issues.  

Green Scene Home Inspection gave my wife and me the necessary insight regarding what to expect out of a home.  I highly recommend their services.

They were very knowledgeable and thorough, they only charged for the services provided, the inspector was on time, gave us details about everything he was doing, answered our questions, then gave a very detailed summary of the property. 

They were very easy to work with from start to finish, I absolutely recommend using them for your inspection needs.

The inspector Dennis was very thorough and detail oriented. He was on time and very helpful in answering our questions. I work in the industry on the lending side so I was a bit skeptical since they are more expensive than most inspections I see come across my desk but I do feel we received a good deal for the money. The video presentation and pictures he took helped explain a lot of what he found and went through. It was very helpful to have the video presentation to refer back to.

Our inspector Marcus was fantastic: friendly, punctual, thorough, and patient with all the questions that a first-time homeowner could have.  The company was able to schedule him within two days of when I first called, and they scheduled him to conclude his inspection around the time that I was able to leave work and go meet him.  It that I didn't have to be there for the entirety of his inspection.
He covered all the bases quite well, and he recorded the audio of his post-inspection wrap-up talk into a slideshow of the many photos that he took throughout his inspection.  We later received this video via a YouTube link.  We also received a very detailed written report -- much more thorough and detailed than the report that the previous homeowners had received from their company.
Green Scene followed up with me shortly after to offer some additional complimentary services, such as transferring my utilities to the new address.
Please note that as a first-time home buyer, I'm not sure of how competitive the price was.  That said, I feel that $650 was very fair for the quality of work that we received.

This was our second time using Green Scene Home Inspections as a prospective buyer. From office staff and scheduling to inspector and reviewing the completed inspection, they are very professional, friendly and thorough. 
Our first time using them in 2015 resulted in us walking away from a contract and a house that had more than $20K worth of foundation repairs completed by the sellers after we terminated the contract. 
We got Marcus this time. He was great to work with. Very detailed reports and walked through everything with us answering all our questions. He was great in helping us understand what items should be concerning vs. what is normal wear and tear for a house of its age.
We really liked the Thermal Scan (find opportunities for energy savings) and the video summary (it can be hard to remember everything you talked about when  you walk out the door). 
Would absolutely use them again, and would recommend to anyone else. They really take care of their customers (and they love their repeat customers).

Dennis was super friendly and thorough. Very helpful and efficient, can't find anything negative to say about these guys!

Clayton has performed two inspections for two contracts.  The first one he found water underneath the condo and I decided to cancel the contract based upon that.  He saved me.
The second inspection for a different contract went well and Clayton is very thorough and helpful.

Jesse arrived promptly and began to work. As he went through his paces, he explained everything he was doing and what he saw to my realtor. I arrived for the last third of the inspection. Jesse was methodical, and he easily explained to me what he saw photo by photo. He did not rush, nor did he seem like he was tired of my questions. I certainly am a novice, and I needed lots of explanation. He was perfect!

Green Scene was very professional and easy to work with. Their website is extremely user friendly. They were very respectful of us and the new home, and took the time to explain everything to us that they had done. They also would provide follow up appointments if necessary. I would Green Scene to anyone else looking for a home inspector.
