. Before I go further this is the same company as Greenway Renovations and Custom Homes and Varnado Construction. He has now changed his name because of all the complaints he has received from subs, clients and vendors on Buildzoom, Houzz, Yelp and Yellow Pages.
on our house because they hadn't been paid. He was way over budget on set items such as foundation, framing and roof. He told us the roof had gone up $11,000 because of materials. The $11,000 invoice was not ours and he never paid the roofing company after we paid him $25,000 for the roof which was in the budget at $14,000. WE had to pay the roofing company. The foundation was $25,000 over budget. He said it was because it was pier and beam. It was pier and beam when he bid on the house and took the plans to the city. We paid the invoice he gave for the granite company and I received a call from them asking for payment. We had to pay them the $3,000 invoice. The cast stone company for the fireplaces called to say they were going to put a lien
My husband specifically asked for three items; a cistern, wine cellar and back up generator. None of those were completed. I kept reminding Josh and he always had an excuse.
He consistently did not show up when scheduled and after trying to work with him to complete items after we had been in the house 14 months we told him we would complete the work ourselves.
We had subs knocking on our door with hot checks or saying Josh had not paid them. The elevator was not installed until two months after we moved in. We continued to ask about the elevator which was not installed until two months after we moved in. He told us he didn't want the subs to use it. Come to find out he hadn't paid the deposit. We paid the elevator company.
