GENIE CARPET SERVICE

Overpriced! We recently had Genie Carpet Services come out and clean
our carpets. The work they delivered was incomplete and areas were
missed. The quality of work we received was not worth the amount we had
to pay. If you decide to have Genie clean your carpets, be sure to
thoroughly check their work.

It has been quite a while since the last service, but seems as how I have gotten several emails requesting a review, here goes. The last date and dollar amount could be a bit off, but we used them enough to offer an accurate review (IMO).



This company was, hands down, the best we ever used in terms of the quality of the cleaning, but also, hands down, the most expensive. We wound up replacing most  all carpet with wood/tile, so we have not had much call for carpet cleaning of late, but when we had light carpets, 3 dogs, 2 cats and children in and out, these guys got it clean (several times). Always one of two invididuals. Always on time.



I grade overall B only becasue of the price - which may be closer to D than C on the scale above. I thought that their quality rated a higher price. Whether as high as it was is pretty subjective.

This contractor was very professional, very up front about the cost of his service and left the room in a very good condition. He was also very service oriented in his responses to me.

Service tech arrived on time and was courteous. He seemed to want to do a good job. He up charged me for soiled areas. I agreed thinking this would assure me of clean carpets. When completed he said the soil did not come out and he would reduce my cost by $30.
Needless to say I was not pleased but he had me sign the contract before he started. As a consumer my only recourse is to never use them again. It is sad because the deal offered on the Internet seems fair. Dirty, wet carpets with protectant is what I ended up having. .

Glenn showed up on time as usual and got right to work cleaning half of the downstairs carpet.  We elected not to have any furniture moved although we did take it upon ourselves to move the small items out of the way to allow easy access to as much of the available carpet as possible.
For emergency situations and for heavy duty carpet cleaning I'll continue to use Genie, but due to financial considerations I'm forced to consider other options for regular carpet maintenance.

They were excellent. I would recommend them to anybody.
