Job took twice as long as it should have. They failed to properly cover the unfinished work & when it rained, it leaked in the house. They repaired it, but it leaked again & they wanted us to allow the same worker who caused the problem in the first place & then failed to correct it the second time. Their contract stated that they had a 2 million dollar insurance policy that covered materials & labor, but when we told the principal owner Bill Schereck that we wanted a qualified 3rd party to do the work, he stated that they were filing bankruptcy & the insurance wouldn't cover it. So, on top of the 30,000.00 that we paid Bill, it cost us another 2,250.00 to correct their mistakes. Anyone thinking of hiring them, should think twice.

Bill, the owner, met with us and was very professional.  He did not try to take advantage of us and even though he was one of the highest bids, we felt that his comment about following up was believable. 
On the day of construction, we got off to a rough start as I thought there were several crews but found out that there is only one crew, one man - Larry.  The week it was planned to start it seems that Larry had car trouble and couldn't get to the job site.  I know transportation trouble can be an isolated instance, but this delay it was frustrating.  We had to re-arrange our schedule which included cancelling a trip when the work was finally done. Once transportation was found  Larry got on the job about a week later, he worked hard along with a couple of friends of his.  I think one was his brother.
My frustration is not with the quality of workmanship, it lies in the follow-up.  I needed Bill to see if he could modify the arbor to prevent one of the supports from being directly across a window.  I even told him that this could be a separate job so I expected to pay for it as the modification was not in the original drawings.  He asked for pictures and told me that he would get back to me after he and Larry studied them.  After about a week I never hear so I called and he said that Larry needed to get out to the house to see it first hand.  It's now been three week from my first call and tomy knowledge, Larry never came out.  I have now called Bill, and left messages but I have not received any response.  I am disappointed in Bill especially after he stressed how they would follow up with anything that was needed.
