Description of Work: Removed paneling in den and replaced with sheetrock. The holes cut for the electrical outlets were too large so new covers were required. Nothing was to be done to the brick above the fireplace, but the crew removed the nails (that held pictures) anyway. Had previously had decorative switchcover plates, and the screws were lost so the continuity of the design was ruined. Replaced the deck and fence. The deck was to have been flush against the fence, but instead it was finished with uneven (by several inches) gaps between deck and fence. The columns that hold the deck cover are already leaning, and the deck surface is already uneven. When the old fence was removed, the posts were simply cut off at ground level rather than being properly removed, and the new fence was erected inside the perimeter of the old fence, effectively reducing the usable size of the back yard. Boards were split upon installation, and not replaced. The boards weren't effectively attached to the posts and/or the gate wasn't properly constructed, so opening the gate pulled the boards away from the posts within the first year. At the final walkthrough, the company representative remarked that he wasn't happy with the quality of the outside contruction (but he didn't do anything to fix it, and seemed genuinely surprised that I was so unhappy). A new counter and sink was installed in the bar. The first sink that was installed was a lavatory sink so had to be replaced with a bar sink. This was done, but the hole had been cut for the first sink and rather than redo the whole thing there was just lots and lots of putty used around the new sink. It shows, and the sink is not flush to the counter. A new skylight was installed and subsequently leaked. Follow up visits claimed a new roof was needed. I had another company replace the roof, and they informed me that the problem was the skylight wasn't properly seated on the curb...it was instead perched on top and had simply been caulked in place. The ceiling in this room is now ruined. Light covers were removed while a ceiling was painted, but not kept up with. There are now unmatched light covers in one room. Several follow up calls followed, and in fact the box that held the key for access to the house is still installed on the back door. The laborers consumed food and beverages (mine) without authorization, and were so negligent in the bathroom that on one occasion I found 1/4-1/2" of urine in a ceramic waste basket.

Description of Work: VARIOUS JOBS DONE. DOORS INSTALLED, DECK BUILT, OTHER HOUSE PAINTED AND EXTERIOR ROTTED WOOD REPLACED.
