It was a drive through on Saturday, type thing. The fact that we could drive over there on a Saturday and get it done was great. They also shred hard drives and media. Compared to other places, they were pretty good for pricing. It's hard to tell on quality, but they did let us watch them shred our hard drive. We just basically, pulled in line behind other cars and waited. I'm not familiar with shredding companies, but they seemed professional.

I arrived to find what appeared to be a father and daughter at their on-site locations. Doors were open and both were standing around. Neither greeted me or even acknowledged me. No hi or we'll be with you in a minute. Nothing! They walked past me 3 times without saying a word to me. I waited for 12 minutes and then left. I was the only customer there.

"Our sincere apologies to Member. We are very good at what we do, Shred your confidential documents while you watch, and we do it fast! That is why there were no lines when Member got there. We are primarily a Mobile Shredding company, but on Saturdays we set this service for individuals and small business that may have a small quantity, so it would not be cost effective for them to have a Mobile Shredding Truck from DFW Shredding go out to their location and shred there. Confidentiality and privacy is very important to all our customers. That is why we are trained not to ask the customer about what they do, and other small talk which may seem like we are being inquisitive. Most customers like that fact especially because they are there to keep their confidential information confidential forever by getting it shredded live by DFW Shredding on Saturdays. However, if a customer initiates small talk we may be unstoppable. Now that is no excuse for not greeting the customer and I want to apologize Member for that. If he will come back we will shred for him at no charge."

I was unhappy with the service and the price. They told me they would match a price. When they came out they didn't match the price. They charged $700, My other quote was $480 that I had showed them.

"We indeed matched the price, however they had a lot more quantity than originally indicated to us, they actually started pulling out more boxes when we got there. This was because they saw how fast we shredded and that we would not be there all afternoon just doing the ones they had originally indicated that they had. Based on the quantity we did match the price. Also we do not have any additional hidden fees that most companies do, such as trip fee, fuel surcharge fee, box removal fee, recycling fee etc......... With DFW Shredding there are no hidden fees! However if you have a larger quatity than you indicate to us, obviously the charge is going to be higher than estimated on a lower quantity. If this book-keeper cannot understand that, I would be very scared to hand them my financials. Actally I think they were trying to get a discount by acting like they were upset and surprised or are they realy not capable to understand that?"
