They were fantastic. The carpets had some real bad stains, but after their service, it looked like brand new carpets. They did a great job and I will continue to use their services in future.

First, let me just say: never use a service like this based on a coupon without checking with Angie?s List first! We were upsold (high-pressure sales tactics) from a low-priced service based on a coupon ($90) to a more complete service ($528) based largely on a free 3-year warranty for the service. We were not informed of any restrictions on this warranty, or any additional costs with warranty service. Our service receipt clearly indicates that we get a 3-year warranty (box for 3 year has an X in it and is circled), plus there is a comment in the Remarks section: "Free inspection, return, and refreshment once a year (warranty)" This February (2010), we noticed mold coming from one of the vents. Their ?mold control? only held up for one year and three months. So my wife called for warranty service. They wouldn?t do the service unless it was November. What? What kind of ?warranty? is that? So I called again to complain, noting that it doesn?t say anything about a month restriction on the service receipt. And they didn?t say anything when they wrote it up, either. I got the person to agree to a warranty service, but then she wanted to charge me $99. What!?! How is that ?free?? I definitely feel like I got ripped off here. Don?t trust DFW Air Duct.

When they first arrived they tried to up sell me from an $89 service to a $289 service (which is what they highly recommended). Not high pressure but a strong sell. I told them I only wanted the basic service. At that point they seemed to lose interest. Our home was built in 1971 and was recently remodeled from top to bottom, so I expected allot of dust and debris in the ducts. I was interested to see the camera monitor featured in their ads to see how much was in the ducts and how clean they ended up. I will never know, as the supervisor told me they only use that on flex duct line, but could not explain why. Their ad says "We are the only company that let's (sic) you see your air duct every step of the way with Roto-vision (digital color camera)." If you have sheet metal ducts this doesn't apply. The did run a vacuum down the ducts with a rotating brush on the end. I asked them how they knew when they reached the end of the duct, and the supervisor told me it was when the hose couldn't be pushed in any further (which apparently was five or six feet on a couple of the ducts). Half way through the service (which took about 45 minutes for the whole house from arrival to departure) the supervisor asked me to sign off that everything was okay and pay them. I did both as at that point I just wanted them out of the house. They must have gotten some of the dirt out of the ducts because when they left it was all over my floor. Not a big deal for me, as we are still in renovation, but I wouldn't think it would be good for a finished home someone is living in. The bottom line is: I didn't expect a whole lot for their $89 special, and that is what I got, and less. I should also mention that the three year warranty they feature in their ad is only good with the deluxe $289 service, not the basic service, which is misleading. Next time I'll call a more established company and pay the higher price for better service.

I paid them for 2 systems, I disputed half of the bill. I photographed the units and they were not cleaned. I ended up having a different company to come out and clean the systems.

Part of what I paid included them to come back and re-check once a year for 4 years. I think they did a really good job. I have a child who is very allergic and there has been a notable difference. They weren't very good though about cleaning up after themselves.
