Dallas Garage Doors Repair

I spoke with Troy on the phone at around 8:00pm after my garage door torsion spring finally failed and broke, as they all eventually do.  My car was inside when it happened, and there was fortunately no damage to my metal sectional door, so that was not a part of the repair work.  I could not get the door open at all, so I was effectively trapped and this was an 'emergency' need I could not wait long for, but could wait until the next morning for.  Without charging an extra 'emergency' fee, a repairman came at 7:30am the next morning and was very professional, explained any questions I had, provided me with a set of options to repair my garage door (exact replacement of what was broken, which was cheaper, or a longer-life system for a bit more, which I selected).  He finished the work in about an hour or less, left no mess, and was his way.  I made it to work on time. 

I did not price shop heavily, but did get a ballpark in advance of scheduling the work, which was consistent with the final invoiced work done.  After the fact, I believe the two springs I could have possibly gotten online for about $60, and the cables for about $10-15 without tax or shipping.  so I probably paid about $300 for the service, the trip, having the parts there and this dangerous task done by an expert very quickly.  A total discount steal?  No.  But, I think a fair price for me.
