We hired them almost 2 years ago. Initially it was to design cabinets for our family room and formal. They worked with a vendor in family room that we had already committed to. We were hourly with Christina the entire time. We liked her designs but their services ran us an average of 700-1k per month and some months over 3k. We thought we were valued clients but to be honest there were times when we couldn't get a reply from the designer or had to ask for things many times. We used them for pillows, cabinets, painting of those cabinets, electrical installation, cad renderings, plans and started a bunk room project which they did not get to finish. We spent a great deal of money with them. As we neared the end of the bunk room project, they wanted us to use their upholstery vendor. We got a local bid on our own after being shocked by the cost (6k for a banquette seat upholstery) and it was 1/4 of what they quoted us the first time and still about more than 1/2 of what they quoted the second time. We were told that should we choose to utilize outside sources then she would be unable to assist us going forward and would be "less invested". We told them we did not like how we were being treated, especially since we've used all of their vendors in the past and could just simply not afford their vendor this time- especially in a kid space where we want them to have fun. This was especially confusing as we started our relationship working with another vendor we chose not affiliated with DDG, and this was not mentioned to us at the beginning. After almost two years of using them quite a bit we were very disappointed. We decided we did not want to give them any more business bc we did not feel like valued customers. We cancelled their wallpaper vendor and their tile vendor that we had intended to use. We wish we could have used their vendors but sometimes budget constructions win and in a kid space the prices need to be a little more attainable.
