Arrived late afternoon and worked several hours.  Very thorough.  Gave us valuble lessons.

Dallas Computer Techs was GREAT.  They were actually my second call. The first company's number went into a voice mail.  It's two days later and that company has yet to reply.  Meanwhile, I called Dallas Computer Techs at appx 9:30a and a live tech, Austin, answered the call.  He was patient to understand my problem, ask questions, then explain his diagnostic process and fee schedule.  I agreed to hire him based on his experience, patience, knowledge, confidentiality, and overall confidence in his ability to address my needs.  Austin met me at my place of employment within 2 hours from that call.  He then diagnosed my issues and provided me with several options regarding my new 'custom' desktop.  Additionally, Austin made sure that my immediate needs were met along with providing me with upgradability in the future.  Once Austin was able to transfer the needed data he had my new desktop built along with the data transfer onto the new custom desktop along with updated software that was needed to support my computer usage.

I have an almost 4 year old laptop PC and had been having issues related to a CMOS battery failure, which nearly makes your PC totally crippled, an over heating issue and a virus that my anti-virus software wasn't able to find or remove. I had taken it in to the store where I purchased it since I knew they also work on PC's, but I was told that my particular model usually has a soldered CMOS battery and this would mean I would have a hard time finding anyone willing to replace the battery, and if I did, it would cost me dearly. Being that I have been out of work for over 4 years, the thought of having to purchase a new PC or pay dearly to fix this one just made me sick, but then I remembered I joined Angie's List a few months ago and decided to give that a try before making any rash decisions, and boy was that the right thing to do! I called the 1st company that came up listed with a coupon, and I feel like I hit the jackpot with Dallas Computer Techs! Austin, listed as the owner on the Angie's List ad, is the technician who came to my house the very same day I called and did an incredible job fixing my PC; not only did he take on the dreaded soldered internal battery that had to be replaced (requiring the complete tear-down of my PC, which you have to really know what you are doing to undertake that kind of feat!), but he found I had a serious over heating issue, which was also taken care of after the dismantling of my PC (a huge dust bunny had formed after almost 4 years of serious on-my-lap use, plus I have 3 furry pets which contributed to the dust bunny!) Austin also installed Windows 7 (I was running XP even though my PC came with Vista but I hated it so much I had my husband put XP on it).

After all of the repair, cleaning, Windows 7 installation, etc, etc, my PC is like brand new! It runs SOOOO much faster and better. Austin really knows what he is doing when it comes to PC diagnosis and repair - he's very smart and very thorough, and I know you won't be disappointed with his work!!
 
I know for a fact that my husband and I will recommend him to any friends / family who needs PC work and won't hesitate to call him again for our own computer repair / maintenance needs. It's a really great and comforting feeling knowing you know someone who can fix seemingly any PC issue you end up with!

Obviously I don't really know about other computer repair technicians listed on Angie's List or anywhere else for that matter, but one thing I do know for certain, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED WITH DALLAS COMPUTER TECHS!!

Austin IS AMAZING w/ excellent customer service bc he cares! Several technicians told me they couldnt help me & I almost gave up. Licensed,trusted, & highly recommended. I will not go to anyone else.- Signed one busy momma on a budget.
