Crosstown Engineering and Home Inspection

Good The inspection let me know the status of my foundation with reference to the work that was done. Sometimes this report is needed to sell a home

During the process to select a foundation repair company, multiple companies recommended Crosstown Engineering to inspect the home and provide a recommended plan for repair. I felt this was an excellent sign when competitors all recommended the company. The booking process was easy, with the cost quoted up front and the discount associated with paying in cash or check. The owner, Adam Green, came and performed my inspection. He was punctual, professional, and provided me with a verbal explanation of the state of my foundation and my repair options. His written report, provided to me, was shared with the three foundation repair companies I considered for my job. The company I selected let me know they had communicated with Adam to ensure the solution to his plan was acceptable. In the end, the company required a post-repair inspection to issue my warranty. Again the booking process was easy, Adam was punctual, and his review of the work was thorough. All in all very happy with the experience (even if it meant I had to have my foundation repaired!). I hope to never need Crosstown Engineering's services again, but if I do I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Crosstown provided an unbiased and independent inspection that assisted in providing the appropriate amount of foundation repair without over-engineering a solution. Their price was competitive and they were reliable and responsive.

he spent 2 hours inspecting the inside and outside of the house, it was thorough. He was knowledgeable and gave me suggestions regarding my foundation and areas that need to be worked on. Adam Green came out an did the inspection and showed up on time and sent the report by the date he said he would. He explained the report. His associate Amber was great at following up and scheduling the appointments and getting me the report. I appreciated that they did what they said they were going to do. When i started quoting the work most pier companies got closed to his recommendation and were willing to change to his report because of their knowledge of his work.

Adam Green was highly professional in his conduct. Answered all questions straight to the point. He came out first after the foundation repair work and again after more foundation repair work was performed. His text responses even before I scheduled an appointment were courteous and helpful which shows he wasn't in it just for the money but actually cared. His reports were very thorough and detailed with pics. Need more truthful people like him in the industry. Thanks Adam and Crosstown Engineering and will definitely need them again as my issues with the foundation company are still not even close to be resolved.

I was notified of schedule in advance of appt, the day before and day of the appointment. The engineer was punctual, thorough and performed the services I expected. The company furnished the report quickly. It was exactly what I expected.

We were having foundation work done on our house and wanted an unbiased independent inspection. Crosstown was recommended to us. From my initial phone call to their office through all phases, everyone was very friendly, professional and helpful. Mr. Green did the foundation inspection, which I then sent to the firm we had contracted with for our foundation repair. They fine tuned their pier layout to match those recommended by Mr. Green. They gladly did this as they knew Crosstown and felt they were an exceptionally professional firm that knew what they were doing. I would highly recommend Crosstown to anyone that needs foundation work done.

Work was completed and survey was good. It outlined some work that was recommended to be done and that work is being done. Also in reading this report and completing some of the recommendations it should be known that not just the foundation contractor has to perform work but also a plumbing contractor. Depending on what work was performed and how it was performed the cost can spiral out of control and the home is still not level. This type of report may and could be needed for the sale of a home that had foundation work done.

Excellent service and quality information. The structural engineer inspected the house and undertook measurements necessary for a determination of issues. He then provided an oral summary and a comprehensive written report was also provided shortly. I could then determine next steps to address issues discussed with their advice. I would highly recommend them...

Great. The engineer took time to check everything that was proposed and then everything as completed. He made helpful comments and gave useful information about the foundation work. It was reassuring to have a second opinion about what was proposed and then done. We would certainly hire Crosstown again in connection with any future foundation work. (The cost for Crosstown's services was included in the payment to Structured Foundations.)

I was extremely pleased with the service provided by Crosstown Engineering! From Tiffany who so politely answered the phone, to Amber who was VERY helpful, to Josh who did in inspection - they were all very friendly, efficient and professional. I wish they were involved in a business that was more "repeat" so I could use them frequently. Great company!

I decided to pay the money for my own foundation inspection instead of relying on each bidding foundation repair company. I figured this allowed me to dictate to the bidders exactly what work I wanted done. This kept them fairly close and to me minimized any shenanigans. It worked out very well. It was still expensive, like any foundation repair, but who knows, I might have prevented a lot of wasteful spending. Having said that, when you get your report from Crosstown, my lessons learned afterwards is to ensure that all the bids you get for the repair include the price, per foot, for excavation. The company I selected told me, but I didn't realize the excavation would be that substantial. So, I might have asked Crosstown to estimate how much would have to be excavated and then I would know in advance what to expect. I can see how foundation companies could use this as a technique to win the business, knowing how much excavation will be needed. I'm not saying that the company I chose did this, they seemed reliable, but I simply don't know - just be watchful. Note - I am not talking about Crosstown, but the vendor you select to carry out the repairs. Good luck! PS - our repair was just under $20k.

Exceeded expectations across the board. Inspector was incredibly helpful, thorough, and responsive. Gave an honest opinion and walked through the entire home with me, taking the time to provide feedback on every crack and anomaly I found. I'd absolutely recommend Crosstown for anyone that is concerned about their foundation, whether they see real problems or just small potential red flags and they just want peace of mind.
