**AVOID AT ALL COSTS **Unfriendly employees--very rude and angry **Deposit required **Prices too high **Horrible Service The service I received was some of the worst that I have ever experienced. I dropped my lawn mower off on Saturday. When I arrived, I was not greeted for a few minutes. The employees were just standing around talking to each other. The man that finally took my order had very bad English, so I had to write my information down for him. I had a pay $37.87 as a deposit for work to be performed, which was referred to as a "Checkout Fee." I should have left at that point. I called Crocketts on Tuesday to check the status of the mower. The man I spoke with told me that he was not supposed to call me yet until the estimate was finished. He put me on hold until an older man picked up the phone with a rude hello. I asked him what would be required to fix the mower. He told me that the transmission had to be fixed for a total of $233.78. I explained that the mower was not that expensive brand new, so I could not justify spending the money. The man became rude and started talking over me saying that was just how business works. I also said that I was upset that I paid $37.87 for no real work. The man tried using a false analogy that you would have to pay to go to the doctor, so I should have to pay for him to look at my mower. I did not realize that fixing a mower required the same education and training as becoming a doctor. The man continued to be rude, so I told him that I was not going to argue with him, and I ended the call. He called back a few minutes later to see if I was going to pick up the mower. I assume the business would have refurbished and sold my mower if I did not pick it up from them. I picked up the mower later that day. The man at the front confirmed I did not want repairs done. I said the price was too high, and he did not say anything. He did offer to help load the mower, but I declined the help. He was not the rude person I spoke with on the phone. The invoice that was on the mower had a note not to call until the estimate was finished. Do not use the business for anything.
Description of Work: The provider was supposed to fix the transmission on my lawnmower.

Not a pleasant experience. I drove over 30 minutes to get her from east Dallas on a Saturday morning, and it was a waste of time.
Description of Work: Took my older lawnmower in for the annual service in April. Was told that it would take 3-4 weeks to even be cosidered for repair. I just wanted a tune up and some tightening to the self propel. Staff was not very accommodating so I turned around and put my lawnmover back into the back of my Lexus convertible and found another provider to provide the service. Life is too short for rude rednecks.

Took the power washer into Crockett's for service (wouldn't start ) the first time in December 2011. Did not have any issue with the repair cost, due to the 2+ years it had sat idle. Carburetor had to be replaced/cleaned. Happy with the the work and the service. Had kept stored in garage for the winter with the same fuel that Crockett's had placed in the motor. Tried to use the washer in June (6 months later) and would not start. Returned it to Crockett's to have diagnosed. Left the washer, paid the "check-out" fee, and was told to return 2 weeks later. I returned to pick up the washer, and asked what was the issue. The arrogant service desk agent flippantly said that it was because fuel was left in the tank and the ethanol had clogged the carburetor and had to replace it. I told him that NO ONE told me that I had to drain the tank after each use. He then said that I didn't need to drain the tank, but I could use a fuel additive to keep this from happening. NO ONE told me this when I picked up the washer back in December. Had they, I would not have had the issue the second time. I keep fuel in a Honda lawnmower each winter for 6+ months, and never have this issue I told asked him if the shop manager or owner was there (Saturday) and he said there wasn't a manager there on Saturday. I blatantly said that I was so aggravated and mad that I was about to "get sideways" with someone. He said "too bad" and wanted another $30+ to release the machine back to me. I didn't feel that I should have to pay TWICE for the same repair for the same reason, when I was not advised of the proper storage the first time it was in for repair (I"m a white-collar professional with minimal mechanical knowledge). I told him that I had been bringing my mowers and power equipment to them since the late 1990's, and I had referred many of my neighbors and friends (even when I lived across town). If he didn't want my continued business, should I take it to "a competitor" in Addison (Ed's Lawn Equipment)? He looked at me and literally said "You shouldn't come back here again". I told him that it was no use in arguing with him, as we were both wasting our breath, and he twice again said "don't come back". I was NOT verbally abuse, but I was firm and direct in my discussions with him. He couldn't have cared less. I emailed company management through their website, but they never acknowledged or replied. Unless I receive some sort of satisfaction or response, I will not be taking my equipment there for service, and I will be sure that all of my homeowner-neighbors and friends know of the level of service to expect from this company.

First thing you notice is that many lawn mowing services are there also to get their equipment fixed or getting parts. i.e. pro's go there. It's a busy place and it takes a few minutes of waiting in line in the AM. They said it would take two weeks to fix due to backlog of similar mower poblems (first of mowing season). They had it fixed in about 9 days. Works great.
Description of Work: My walk behind Toro lawn mower stopped working and they fixed it. I believe the carb. was clogged.
