Susan Demopulos and her team at Cornerstone Home Lending were AMAZING! I am self-employed and have run several different business ventures over the years. Four different times, I had attempted to secure a home mortgage loan. My income was more than enough to support monthly payments but the changing nature of my business made it virtually impossible to qualify for a mortgage. Conversations with lenders always started with "no problem" and ended with "so sorry" - after investing hours providing information. It was incredibly maddening disheartening. I ended up buying my home through a friend when the building I was living in was sold. IT was terribly frustrating that I couldn't get any of the true benefits of homeownership. Eventually, I found Susan. The process was seamless. Everything Susan said she could or would do, she did. She is highly communicative and responsive. Her team never let me down. Susan handled every question, every issue, every unique challenge with composure, courtesy, accuracy, and speed. Not only that but we closed in record time. I emailed Susan on April 2, 2017 and was closed on April 28th. I am ashamed to admit it took me 1 1/2 years to write this review (it's been a rough couple years), but I would never let such awesome service go unrecognized. I have never had any problem with the servicing of the home loan. I will not use anyone but Susan for future lending needs. Those who know me, know I am a perfectionist with an empty inbox, a color-coded to-do list, and an alarm set for 4am every day. I am not easy to impress. Susan did. I would highly recommend her and her team to handle your lending needs.

We were moving from out of state and my realtor suggested we contact a local lender. After reading reviews and calling around I found the Demopulos Team and gave them a call. I am so glad I did! Scott worked with me and answered all of my questions thoroughly and patiently (no matter how many phone calls/questions I had)! My wife and I were looking to buy our first home. We are in our mid 20's, and we heard that going through the home buying process, specifically the loan application process was a hassle. We reached out to Cornerstone Home Lending (Susan Demopulos team), and we instantly knew that they were looking out for our best interest in every manner. Since we had no idea what we were doing, Cornerstone provided us with a specific list of what we needed to submit to them, a timeline of how long the process should take, and constant friendly follow up on any outstanding items we forgot to send or additional information they needed. They would provide updates throughout the short process on how everything was going, and they tailored the loan to the current needs we had. Cornerstone Home Lending provided us with multiple different options on the loans that were available to us, which helped us tremendously. Getting a tailor loan allowed us to buy a house that needed a little bit of work, so we were able to put some of the extra money we saved on our loan into the house. Once we officially got our house, Cornerstone provided us with a generous packet with all our information organized, post cards with the picture of our new house to send to friends and family, and follow up on how everything was going after we moved in. The service we received was absolutely perfect, and I could not be more happy with how everything turned out. Susan Demopulos and her team far exceeded our expectations, and we plan to use them again in the future!

Generally, I do not write reviews, accordingly, I will keep this brief. With the current economic climate, consumers are shopping for quality goods and services. The first step begins with research: that is, talking with friends and associates. Personally, tools such as Angie's List make up the bulk of my research. My wife and I have recently purchased a new home, and the lending process went very well. Our interaction with Cornerstone Home Lending was great. We did not experience any delays, errors in legal documents, or untimely contact. Susan thoroughly explained the home lending process to us, offered expert guidance, and provided the most competitive interest rate. Susan and her team were courtesy, professional, and honest. Buying a home is a huge investment. You interact with numerous entities throughout the home-buying process, such as lender, builder, realtor, and sales person. There are so many i's to dot and t's to cross. It is refreshing to work with a professional. Susan was available in the evenings and on the weekends. I was also able to text my lender. With Susan's assistance, we closed on the home earlier than expected. She is highly recommended. Mike

I found Susan here on Angie's List and went to her website, where I filled out an initial application with her. She emailed me within a few days to follow up, where she explained that as a local lender Cornerstone is able to work quickly and with the local area to ensure a fast closing time. She assisted me through the pre-approval process, and after we found a home and our offer was accepted, she started the loan application. She was meticulous in analyzing the different financing options for us and recommending the one that would give us the greatest overall benefit (most amount of lender credits, monthly payments, most amount of money left in our pocket at closing, amount of equity we would have in the home at closing, whether or not to go VA or conventional, etc.). The rate was good, and amazingly, she set the bar very high and stated we would close in 18 days (not easy to do). She timed the VA appraisal accordingly to ensure we could close on time. All in all, we only closed one day late of her goal in 19 days...and the only reason we didn't close in the original 18 day estimate is because the Title company didn't order the survey until right before closing, because they assumed Cornerstone was going to order the survey (usually the Title company is the one that orders it, not the lender). 19 days is still amazing and I'm very happy with the quick closing. Additionally, Susan actually attended the closing (unheard of??) helped explain the lender forms at closing, provided us with a folder where she organized all our closing documents for us after closing, and she even gave us full color postcards with the picture of our new house to send to friends/family to let them know we moved. Quite frankly, an absolutely amazing service and if there was an option for A+++ I would give her that grade. Will definitely use again if I'm ever back in the market to buy a home!

If I could describe Susan in three words, they would be "smart, responsive and professional". As this was our first home buying experience we had several questions that Susan was always willing to calmly answer. Susan and her team were excellent communicators and walked us through the whole process and our closing was on time and without issue. I had some bad information from another lender and put off purchasing a house. After getting restless in my apartment, I looked up lenders on angies list to see if I had some other options. I found Susan and after talking with her, she felt she could help me get into a home in the timeline I needed. She kept me in the loop throughout the process and we closed on the exact date originally promised. She recommended an outstanding realtor she works with on a regular basis and the whole process was as simple as it could get.

Went great from start to finish. Susan is very responsive and knowledgeable. Also very detail oriented. She won't nickel and dime you with one-off requests for documentation - like any good mortgage consultant should, she knows exactly what she needs up front and makes sure it's all in order. While this seems like an obvious thing, it's one of the most common complaints about mortgage consultants that I've heard from friends and co-workers.

We reached out to Susan through Angie's List back in April to do some comparison shopping for a home loan. Our plan was to sell the current house and buy a new one. She immediately sent me multiple cost analysis estimates for multiple prices using both conventional and FHA loans. Then a few months went buy until I had made a decision that they had good intrrest rates on 30 year fixed and reasonable closing costs. As soon as I contacted her she scheduled a time for us to meet with her at her office where we went through the details and made decisions on the best options for us. We obtained pre-authorization , put house on the market, and started looking for the new house. We found the house of our dreams before our old house sold and she went backwards and forwards for us to get our approval completed and through underwritting in a reasonable time period. We would highly recommend Susan and her team. They were always responsive and communicative. She called me after hours many times and responded to all emails or voice mails by the next day. We will definately use them again if/when we buy another house and will recommend her to our friends and family.

Susan was awesome. She was professional, friendly, personable, knowledgeable and fast! Susan was always willing to take the time to explain things to me.
